Post#1 » by iLovethosedamnknicks » Thu May 6, 2010 9:54 pm

any way we can get him with giving too much this offseason?

chandler/curry 4 sessions/al jeff

he's a solid C and if we get 2 max's, well have a nice team up front

any thoughts?

He shouldn't be playing at C.

There is no way The Wolves trades the guy who was the cornerstone of the trade that ousted their franchise player. They are going to make Al Jeff suffer.

He uses post moves. He wouldn't fit in our system.

I can't believe you guys are listing reasons why you wouldn't want him, rather than listing reasons why it is an incredibly ridiculous offer.

Ridiculous meaning bad, not ridiculous meaning good.

Swap Chandler with Gallinari and it looks a little better for Minnesota......oh, and take out Sessions.

LoL, good point...but it makes little to no sense for BOTH teams, so of course we don't care about it being an insane steal. I'll say this (I said so on your forums at the beginning of the season), Minne needs to move Al or Love and bring in a legit C.

Al Jefferson is the perfect example of a big man that will keep GM's expecting to be "the one that figures out his potential and turns his career around". Meanwhile, he averaged fewer free throw attempts than Gallo and made Darko look tough. That's someone we need to stay far far away from.

We understand that, and most of us think one of Al or Love will be moved, but only if we get a very good return.

As far as getting a legit C goes, we've got a lead on some guy named Darko who fits very well.

Is Darko planning on staying now though? I haven't kept up with him, but I know he was talking about going back to Europe midseason. So you'll need a legit C if that stays true.

Also, like I said, clearly our offer compared to what you give is crap...but the people complaining about the deal on our side are probably looking at it like "another F!?" Rather than caring about how fair the deal is...plus people are pretty high on Chandler here, he goes from replaceable with Walker to some...to equal footing to Gallo with others. So you'll see a major fluctuation in how his value is viewed in these parts (I'm somewhere in the middle of that vast chasm).

we need to trade curry for a piece on a bad contract

min wont move Al since he is from the KG trade, bad PR

i suppose we could try for okafor or biedrins (might have to add chandler)

brand would be availble, but the dollars dont add up as he makes like 15 and eddy is at 11.2

either way we have to add something using his expiring

After the season Biedrins had...he might be available but I don't know if he's worth it. Trading Eddy's expiring just for a new long contract seems like a bad investment. Just to get T-mac's deal and dump 7 million, we dealt two picks and our most recent lotto pick...eating 11 million in contracts could net a major return at the deadline.
