They don't need him and they don't need Vujcic either. They have too many centers on the roster. They would still have Bourousis/Mavrokefalidis/Glyniadakis with those other two leaving. That's still more depth at center than any team in Europe has even minus Sofo and Vujcic.

Sofo should probably get more playing time in the NBA than he ever did with Olympiacos. The Clippers are not nearly as deep at center as Olympiacos is.
