Lol, that is awesome.

Glad he is the Vikings headache. Unless he comes back soon, which won't happen, the Vikings will be dealing with that crap all spring into training camp. And if he happens to actually retire in like July, that would be awesome too.

I saw this on the ticker this morning when I was getting ready for work, I had to rewind the DVR to read it again, what a joke.

That would be amazing if he retired at the last second. MIN had every opportunity to get a good QB, hopefully they sign Russell when he's let go, lol.

The report on the ankle is that it is like the shoulder last year, requires surgery but won't be a problem for him playing.

Yeah right.

Eventually Russell is going to be so fat that he will be impossible to tackle.

Russell for MVP after five more seasons of getting super fat.

This is a huge problem for the vikings....Favre really needed to be involved with their summer program and training camp....there is no way he could have a good season with out it!

You're right (I think you're being sarcastic); training camp or not, that late playoff game interception is inevitable.

Favre got ripped a new one by the panel guest on JRIB today. Said Favre doesn't need Dr. Andrews, but rather needs Dr. Phil. 'He has serious neuro issues with needing to be talked about all the time.'

Nothing new to us, of course.

Vikings are F'd if he decides not to come back. GL with Jackson as your QB queens. Hope he comes back to we can laugh at him screwing them over again.

I put the chances of this happening at less than 1 percent though sadly.

Glad that Minnesotans are getting to see this side of Favre too.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... -retiring/

Brett Favre is saying publicly that he hasn't made up his mind about whether he'll play in 2010. But he reportedly told another player privately that he's finished playing.

Peter King of SI.com reports that after the season, Favre told a fellow NFL player whom he knows well that he's definitely done.

"I'm 100 percent positive I'll never put on pads again in my life," Favre told the unnamed player, according to King.

However, as King astutely points out, that doesn't mean much because Favre changes his mind all the time. He probably sincerely meant it when he said he was 100 percent positive he would retire. And a few days later he was probably 100 percent positive he would return.

If he doesn't come back next year, it's our division to lose. If he does, can he have another season like last year with this ankle injury?

He really should just retire, he proved everybody wrong last year and beat the Packers. One of these years he's going to tank, it will happen.

A Minnesota writer said awhile back on Dan Patrick that if he decides to retire when training camp starts and actually does retire, their fans will absolutely turn back to hating him probably. Lol.

I'll state once again that I think he has the decency to the Vikings (because this is where he has wanted to be since about 2006) that when he wants to retire, he will really really do it at a normal time to be courteous to them. No way does he retire this year.
