Who do you want gone...?
Simple question
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

It's pretty unfair to put Josh up there with everyone else after the year he had.

I dont wnt him gone, but I know some people on this board hate him. I put him there because of that.

I see no point in bringing Joe back. The team has gone as far as it can go with him as our best player and he has very little impact on ticket sales.
I've always viewed Woody as an extension of Gearon. I would have fired Woody 2-3 years ago if it meant we could hire someone like SVG or Rick Adlemen...but the ASG probably isn't willing to put up the kind of money it takes to get a proven coach. Extending the coach after having the worst record in the league during his 4 year tenure is an ownership issue.

Re: Who do you want gone...?
As Ric Bucher pointed out in the Milwaukee series that he observed that Joe and Josh clearly don't respect Woodson. Josh isn't surprising, but Joe is the final nail. Joe may like having him as a coach because he lets him do as he wants, but the lack of listening is a clear sign that Woodson must go.
Joe's a free agent and while a good player has shown that he's not a great player nor is he an extremely marketable player. He doesn't penetrate well or get to the line. He lives and dies with his jump shot. Furthermore, the system has been tailored to him and would he be worth as much in a system that might better exploit the rest of the team? If someone else offers him big bucks it would be the worst match since Jon Konchak to try to match/beat their offer give his age, mileage, and style of game.
While I answer Joe and Woody, I'm not uncertain the ultimate answer is all of them, but I really want want to see Josh and Marvin under different leadership and in a different system. For instance, maybe we'd be better on the glass if we didn't switch everything often leading to Josh or Al at the free throw line defending a PG while Bibby or Crawford tries to block out a big. What if on offense someone would create and dish or the system valued off the ball movement rather than having players space the floor outside of their shooting range? I like to try something different for a year or two and then make a decision on the rest of the guys.

I would vote for JJ to go. He is suppose to be your best player and he disappeared in the playoffs. If I could pick 2 the other would be Woodson. His offense is a disaster. ISO should not be the first or second play in your playbook. Maybe Sam Mitchell would be a better option. He did get COY with the Raptors. When he left the team was pretty bad. He runs an up tempo offense that would lend to the strengths of Josh alot more.

You can pick 2. Joe and Woody, Josh and Woody, Joe and Josh, and all of them are valid choices in the poll.

Re: Who do you want gone...?
I choose Woody.
Every players deserve a chance to show what they can do with a new coach.
The only exception is Joe, because if he thinks is worth more than $15M, I prefer not keeping him adn put more money in the coach choice, and use the 15M on other players. The main problem is it would need a sign-and-trade.
Meanwhile, Joe if doesn't want the ATL offer should prefer a sign-and-trade, because it means that the team he would join wouldn't use all the equivalent of his salary in cap space, and so could be more competitive. Both Joe an ATL can get benefits.

Re: Who do you want gone...?
I think JJ needs to go. He's done great things during his time in ATL, but it's time for all parties to move on. We could use the money better elsewhere.
I propose SNT JJ for D. Lee. I think both players and teams involved are looking for new directions to go in. It also allows Al to move to PF as he reunites with his old college teammate and fellow All-Star. This also gives us flexibility as far as what to do with Smoove and Marvin. And now we'd have a real center finally (albeit not a huge defensive presence).

Re: Who do you want gone...?
Ok I choose JJ and Woody. After this playoff performance by JJ he should not get a MAX offer from other teams but some team will do so if they miss put on the big 4. I have a feeling it will be the KNICKS. Maybe a trade surrounding JJ for Curry or Chandler and Lee, 1st and filler. I know JJ should be worth more but....29% in the playoffs!!!
I think moving Al to the 4 would really help the Hawks out. Moving Josh to the bench where he could back up the 3 and 4 spot.

I don't agree at all.
Lee is IMO one the the more overrated player, not on his offense, but his horrible defense.
Lots of guys here are talking about horrible defense from Bibby, and you want to add Lee.
If you want 42 home games watching the opponent C putting 20pts-15rbds, well it's a good idea.

1 of the options should have been Woody & Marvin, i would have voted for them but i settled for Woodson. This team deserves a shot with a coaching philosophy different that the current.

I picked Woody.
I think if we had a coach who knew what he was doing, then Joe wouldn't be a problem. He needs a coach that will run actual plays instead of just letting the players do whatever they want and go NBA Street on teams.

Joe's true shooting percentage of .465% in 22 playoff games the last 2 years is a huge problem regardless of what system he plays in.

Re: Who do you want gone...?
I want Woody gone, at some point a coach has to own up to lacking control of his team or a viable offensive system... or willingness to adjust. If we can sign JJ to a reasonable contract I wouldn't mind having him back (with a new coach), but if he's getting the max I think the Hawks are better off with S&Ting him or even just letting him go.

Re: Who do you want gone...?
Easy question...first Woody and after that sign-and-trade JJ.
