I havent been watching a lot of this game, but it looks like the same stuff as always. Is the effort even there tonight?
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I thought we fought, I thought we played ok, but ORL is just too good. We did not lose this game -- they were unconscious from 3pt land.
Plus, Howard is a monster.

My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Yes, I almost would had rather played cleveland. We ran into the perfect storm. This team will be in the finals this year again and will win it.

Cleveland destroyed the Hawks in their 4 game series last year.

A slow and painful death. A lot of empty seats. They got exactly what they deserved.

I felt the Hawks tried and the fans were supportive until it was completely certain. Some longer (I was the #@$%*% shouting Defense with just over 2 minutes left). A few parting notes . . .
#1 You can't help off Pietrus or Lewis or Carter or Nelson. It's one thing if they move the ball around the outside and get an open 3, but too often they got an open 3 on 1 pass is inexcusable. Make them score off the dribble or make Howard score. Those open 3 are too deadly.
#2 Dwight Howard gets away with a few goaltends without them being called. Deal with it. Pouting and not getting back on defense or committing a frustration foul doesn't help it compounds the damage.
#3 I thought we did a better job of taking the ball to the hole for the most part although we settled for too many jumpers in stretches.
#4 Zaza has a lot of moxy.
#5 Woodson chose to go down with his guys. Joe played the first 44 minutes in spite of not playing that well. Mo played a lot. Crawford played big minutes. Josh sat more than I expected. Marvin played less than Mo (and did nothing with his minutes). Bibby played hardly at all.
#6 It was a little sad that Joe's stint in Atlanta ended with a chorus of boos when he came out, but a lot of fans took his comments personally. That or they had higher expectations for his play than he did.

Keep your heads high Hawks fans - your team is very talented and you had a great season - just need a new coach now

You guys need a new coach. It makes no sense why a team with that talent can't do damage in the playoffs.

... with 3 players injured.
I was almost sure that Woodson wanted CLE and not ORL, seeing ATL losing every time they could get the third place... before last weeks, and maybe with the help of BOS who could also want more than ATL to play CLE and not ORL.

Hawks fans, I can feel your pain. This is what we went through during the Detroit series. You have a great nucleous in Horford, Crawford, Smith and I love how hard ZAZA competes every night. Dont be afraid of letting your good players go like I was when TMac left and then Hedo left. You have a committed organization its just a matter of time to get over than hump.
Best of luck next season.

1. The injury excuse is so lame. They lost by an average of 18 points a game. The Cavs also went on to beat us 3 straight times this year when they had Lebron and they were missing some key players during those games while the Hawks weren't.
2. I don't think the Hawks were trying to tank as much as they just didn't care whether they got the 3rd or 4th seed. Boston didn't either.

Bringing this thread back up to express a sentiment without starting a new thread:
I'm disappointed that the Jason Collins getting a few minutes to foul Howard experiment was abandoned. We carried the Big RV on the roster all year in hopes of using him against Howard or O'Neal and then when the time comes to follow through it gets abandoned. I understand switching up defense approaches on Howard, but every time we doubled we paid quickly.
