What's your take on the guy? do you think that he's coming back to the NBA this season (I don't know his contract status)? Is he a player that could help the Rockets?
What would be the most you think the Rockets would offer him?

OK, but what if one or more of one of those guys is shipped out in a trade?

Re: Josh Childress
if ariza or battier get traded, we can definitely use childress. brings defense, athleticism, youth. but he already said he's committed to his team and his contract expires after next season
i'd rather have shane and ariza, if shane and yao can stay healthy we're a lock for top 10 in defense, hopefully top 5

Re: Josh Childress
Childress has an NBA opt-out clause that he can use until July 15.
His most recent statement makes it clear he'd like to come back to NBA,but is not unhappy if he stays in Europe. Catch is Atl still holds his rights as a Restricted Free Agent and Childress has a strong dislike of current Hawks coach.
If Hawks fire their coach and make him a MLE-type offer he'll prob return to them.
I'd love to have him on the Rockets. Unselfish glue type player who is pretty good passer, defends, rebounds, runs the court, esp if Battier or Ariza is traded. Thik of him in the Doug Christie role-w/out the wife

Re: Josh Childress
I would love to slot him in as our backup 2. Thats crazy depth.
Lowry - JC - Battier - Ariza - Hill
is a crazy running defensive monster

So far (short time period, I know), this is looking to be our most coherent offseason (boardwise) in years.

Don't need him as long as we get Lowry back. Now if we don't get Lowry back, I would say yes.

He'd be a nice back-up to Kevin Martin, Childress is a player that can handle the ball very well, I'd say yes, but I'd rather further see the development of Chase Budinger.

it will take more than 10 millions a year for him to come back
right now he's making about 7 millions a year (after taxes)

You guys are actually looking pretty hard at Milos Teodosic (EuroLeague MVP). He's a hybrid guard.
