Is Barkley a Kobe hater?

Do any of you get that impression? It just seems like there's always something he has to say about him. Last night he basically said that Kobe's days of dropping 30-40pts are over. And that he wasn't really the difference in this Jazz series. Now I agree to a certain extent that Kobe is slowing down and that the Lakers length was a big factor in sweeping the Jazz. But it just seems to me he's a hater. He's said all season that Bryant is past it and is basically done.

Really? I never thought that. I'd have to disagree.

He did the same with Shaq back in the day...unstoppable force to albatross.

He's right Kobe's days of consistant 30-40 point games are becoming less frequent. That's for the LBJ, and Durants of the world. Sure he can still get that, but the Jazz aren't going to pose a huge defensive threat to him. Kobe says he's healthy now and all that is coming is more rest so Charles will have to eat a little crow it appears.

Why do we care anyway. All I care about is wins. Halfway there, 8/16. Kobe has 4 rings, hopefully he gets five this year the best player stuff is fun for discussion, but it doesn't really matter. All the young guns Lebron, Melo, and Durant can shoot the lights out, and our Lakes will keep collecting wins and hopefully championships.

C Barkley is harmless fun, don't let him get to you.

Yeah, Duba, I agree with the rest of your post about not caring about all of this and Charles will be Charles. But strictly in response to the question posed, Barkley has, IMHO, always hated on Kobe. When Kobe was killing the league Barkley didn't bash him, because he couldn't, but he still threw in jabs every chance he got. Now that Kobe is starting to slow down and play a different style of game, Barkley is bashing him every chance he gets. IMHO it was always clear he was licking his chops waiting for this day.

Purely speculative, but I think Barkley has disliked Kobe b/c he has been the heir apparent to Jordan since the day he came in the league. And anyone who knows Charles knows he's borderline homo for MJ.

I just find it funny that he says his days of scoring 30 are over when he just dropped 5 consecutive 50 point games in the playoffs. Whether you agree or disagree with him, he is factually wrong. By fact, Kobe has scored 30 points or more in the past 5 games. You can't say his days of doing that over. He just did it 5 times. It is a fact that he can still do it.

yup, kobe can drop 40 any night if he wants....itll just take more jumpers and less slashing, thats all...but he can do it.....the dude scored 81 points in a game for gods sake

charles has always been a hater imo. to me he is still butt hurt about the lakers picking kobe over shaq. yeah he has given kobe his props sometimes but he also likes to talk out of his butt. that's just chuck. it's funny watching guys who have never won try to explain how to win. kenny is the only one that seems objective.

Look here is more hate from last night. D- Will gives props to Kobe and what he can do and then he calls out Chuck for saying Kobe can't do what he used to do. Chuck said no more 30 point games for Kobe and ever since then he has scored at least 30 points. 30 points in 5 straight games, no thats impressive. Chuck then tries to back himself up and say that Kobe's 30 points aren't needed and they are basically meaningless.

The evidence is right in front of him and he continues to be ignorant and believe what he wnats to because he is so stuck on hating Kobe. This dude needs to stop hating because all this is doing is adding more fuel to the fire. Between the hate from Chuck (former Suns player) and the revenge factor I don't know how the Suns are going to survive.

Keep talking Barkley, I remember someone posted an article about how Kobe is fueled by haters well there is a prime example right there in Charles Barkley, and what happened he dominated Utah and will most likely dominate for the rest of the playoffs so thank you Charles and all the haters out there for waking up the Mamba us Laker fans really appreciate it

This guys is a fat joke ! He has low IQ, even low basketball IQ. He's just there because he's been a pro and because he entertains people and makes everyone laugh. He's a clown to me more than an analyst !

Kobe's been injured all year, for God's sake ! Now he's feeling better and playing better, as for the last 6 games.

Barkley is even that dumb that he doesn't understand how much he makes Kobe prove this idiot wrong.
