Just bought tix for saturdays game.....

Post#1 » by DMBucks22 » Wed Jan 9, 2008 3:22 am

Well i couldnt resist and I purchased two tickets off ebay for $200 a piece. Not to bad when face is over $100 for a ticket anways. I almost paid the same for just a regular season game. I am so excited to go to this game as this will be my first PACKER PLAYOFF W/ BRETT FAVRE GAME. I told myself I had to get to a favre playoff game before he retired and now im doing it.

So stoked.

Anyone else going?

I have really never understood the joke behind that but I see it all the time. Thats not a bad idea. If I knew what it meant. It went way over my head the first time I saw it.

Its just some stupid thing they say when Kenny Albert comes up with some trivia that relates to the game, or doesn't even relate to football. It's their little nugget of information.

I'll be there too.

Just my opinion, but people who feel the need to bring signs to games and wave them constantly deserve some special place in hell. I'm paying $110 for these tickets and the person sitting in front of me is going to wave this stupid piece of cardboard in my face for 3 hours? Not going to happen.

I've had no problem speaking my mind to those kind of people.

I hate all people that make signs for sporting events.

Unless they're those three hotties in bikinis who were waving their sign in the last game of the season. :)

It's been reported that there is a 50 to 1 sell/buy ratio. People peddling tix like crazy, I imagine you can make pretty good cash on them.

I'm sure everyone will think i should be wearing a skirt, but that's ok, i passed on going to the game with my uncle even though i could have went at face value price.

The reason i passed is because i had to decide about two weeks ago and i had no idea what the weather would be like. Even though i've lived in Wisconsin since we moved here from California when i was a kid, i hate cold weather with a passion. I've been to my share of cold weather games given i go to 1 or 2 games a year, but after being so miserable during my last very cold weather game, i decided then that i'd rather watch them on TV than spend 4-5 hours outside freezing my asss off.

Now that the forecast don't look to bad i kinda wish i had decided to go, but that's fine, watching it in the warmth on my big screen TV and not standing in a long cold line to buy seven dollar beers will be fine with me.

^^^^
I can understand what youre talking about there dude. My brother and I have already talked about it, and if the Packers somehow are hosting the NFC title game, I think we are selling the tickets. For what we can get for our 4 seats, I can buy the big screen HDTV I've been window shopping for for the the past 6 months.

I was at the championship game in January of 97 and that was awesome, but I had as much a good time or better the next year watching on tv. Throw in the big ass TV I might be getting in the deal too and I'm perfectly ok with kicking back with a couple of PBR's and watching at home.
