Bobcats War Room- Third Pick

Post#1 » by Walt Cronkite » Wed May 12, 2010 3:44 am

Slam wrote it well:
BigSlam wrote:I think as per most drafts the top two picks are pretty much a lock - it's just who goes #1 and who goes #2 that might change.

As per most drafts, from #3 onwards is where it gets really murky.

We have had two easy selections so far--near unanimous selections for John Wall at #1 and Evan Turner if we were to acquire the 2nd pick. What direction do you think we should go in if LB/MJ/Higgy land pick #3? Make a case for your favorite, voting will continue until around midnight tomorrow.

Favors has a lot of potential, he's 18, fits a position of need. A lot to like. I look forward to seeing who you guys advocate for, I don't have a very strong opinion here.

I've decided on Monroe at #3. Probably be on my own though.

Cousins scares the poop out of me with his mind set and weather his game will switch to the NBA well and Favors is just so raw and I wasn't that impressed by him this season.

Monroe has a great head, a wonderful assortment of skills, is mobile, big, still has a lot of room for improvement and is still young.

There is a LOT to like about him IMO.

This is tough. I have to go with Favors here. Cousins has a lot of good qualities about him, but like Slam said, not sure he is 100% committed to the game with his attitude. The ability and potential of Favors takes #3 for my vote.

Someone voted for the final option again without listing a name or suggesting that we should trade out. I seem to remember this being a pretty common thing AUS dealt with, but don't be shy, join the discussion! Advocate for your selection!!

Cousins. Teams always reach on big guys and I don't think that there will be an exception this year. I really like him at 2 over Evans, but I don't see him being picked outside of the Top 3.

There's a reason he named that selection after me.

I figured it was you, you rat! I gotta curve ball coming for you on pick #4. DeMarcus Cousins narrowly claims victory with 5 votes to Derrick Favors 4. Monroe and Aldrich one vote each. 2 votes for the W_Hamilton "Trade the pick or select someone else or something".
