Hmmm Ruz, I'm unsure what your objection was to what I said. Is it that you believe funnily is not a word? Check a modern dictionary. You know, they add words every year. If your objection is based on a mistaken belief that one cannot start a sentence with an adverb, then I should tell you that is not the case. An adverb placed at the start of a sentence is called a sentence adverb. "Unexpectedly, my uncle called" is perfectly proper. I think the grammar police need to go hit a donut shop. Personally, I'ma gonna keep slingin' slang on a website dedicated to basketball. F' the police.

You might have slipped by this time, Barely, thanks to the left-wing Websterization of our once honorable language, but we're everywhere - just waiting for you to get comfortable and slip up... though we could use that donut break you mentioned. Eh, what the heck - say whatever ya want. I'm in the mood for some double D's... and Dunkin Donuts.

Argh! I hate you!
I specifically came to this thread to make that point.

The Bic Penultimate; the ultimate pen. What is the sound of dgm? There's no real logic to spelling it judgment rather than judgement. Imagine a flavor called fudgmint. Message boards aren't like books or articles or briefs or term papers. They're a little closer to conversation. I don't really care about a few misspellings or typos (which are occasionally hilarious), as long as I can tell what someone's saying. Sometimes grammar and spelling police let too much air out of the balloon.
PS: I'm a horrible typist, with many recurring errors. Writing "form" when I mean "from" is the most common.

The funny thing is that I was once mocked here for using this exact phrase...
For now, I'm just going to fade [back] into Bolivian.

i had had two martinis at this point so i asked her if he every shouted DAGGER in the bedroom with her.
she looked at me kinda strangely and said she had no idea what DAGGER meant.

From now on whenever I'm asked to fill out my race or ethnicity on a form, I'm going to write in Callipygian.

Nothing wrong with that phrase. Sounds like a heavy duty cleanser.

I'll just retire, because I know I can't spell or grammar.
