How do you know he is not a play maker like the guys you listed? The dude is 20 years old and will be going into his second year. I think he has the potential to be like those guys. I also think the Kings are a better team when playing Tyreke at the 1 and Beno at the 2.Norbit wrote:perezident wrote:If we were to draft Johnson, Casspi would be our main backup SG. Some of you are hilarious on here!
Johnson/Donte/Noc
Beno/Casspi/Donte
Evans/Beno
i seriously cant stand it when ppl post lineups and they have beno as the 2 and evans at the 1 it boggles my mind why ppl care if evans is defined as a **** pg. Yes he can play the pg and play it well because of his great handles and court vision but so can many other players. Hes a playmaker that has the ability to run the point but isnt necessarily a pg like lebron, roy, hill(in his prime), carter, ginobli, wade etc. Sorry about the rant but i cant stand ppl labeling him as our pg for the future in their lineups.
According to 82games.com here are some stats for Beno based on where he was playing.
Player 48-Minute Production by Position
Position
PG 19/7/3 and a PER of 17.2
SG 23/5/5 and a PER of 21.7
Opponent Counterpart 48-Minute Production
Position
PG 20/8/5 and PER of 17.9
SG 17/2/5 and PER of 11.2
So just looking at those numbers Beno plays much better at the SG position especially defensively.
Now lets look at Tyreke's numbers.
Player 48-Minute Production by Position
Position
PG 26/8/6 and a PER of 22.2
SG 26/6/6 and a PER of 19.1
SF 20/7/10 and PER of 16.2
Opponent Counterpart 48-Minute Production
Position
PG 20/8/5 and PER of 17.7
SG 17/4/5 and PER of 16.1
SF 19/4/8 and PER of 14.9
So Evans production is much better at the PG position.
