It's pretty hard to get equal value for a top 10 player while satisfying both sides.

I can see both sides of it. Deron is already in the top 3 pg's and Wall does have the potential to be something even more special. They could even trade the #1 down to #3 and get another great big man with Harris, Lopez, and a second young big.

It would be way too risky.

I was just looking at it as maybe the 2nd pick or something

so

Harris/Price
Turner/Matthews
AK/CJ
Okur/Sap
Lopez/Fes

it would be more feasible. if deron was in his last year. and was already having one foot out the door. but a friend of mine mentioned lebron should get traded and it made me think of this. Better to get something out of a player then nothing. But at the same time i see everyone point, of why would we want 2 starters from the worst team in the league? I think its mostly about lopez and turner. We get a arguably top 7 center in the league. We do take a hit in the point guard department no doubt but I think harris could produce similar numbers to deron in this jazz offense. BTW I love Deron.

Maybe DWILL for Lopez and Nets #1 pick of the draft as long as they take AK-47's contract which would allow the Jazz huge salary cap space to sign someone like Joe Johnson.

Jazz Lineup:

PG Wall Price/Gaines
SG Joe Johnson Matthews Price
C Lopez Memo Kosta
PF Millsap Monroe Kosta
SF Miles Korver Joe Johnson

It would be an interesting team under the cap. Do I trade DWILL only if I get Wall in return plus Lopez plus salary cap space.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Why should the Nets **** up their future?

If the Nets get the top pick, there would be a chance that you could trade DWill for that pick. Certainly you wouldn't get more than just the pick. In trading Williams for Wall, the Jazz could trim about $10 million off their payroll immediately, which would allow them to upgrade the team.

In Wall, the Jazz would immediately upgrade their defense and raise the ceiling for the team over the next three years. The trade would also put a more exciting team on the floor.

With Wall on our team, we would have to wait for him to mature (who knows how long that will take) before we are even considered contenders. Will he end up being better than DWill? The possibility is high, but how much better? I'm on the side of this trade not being worth it.
