I'm sure any Cavs fan will say a championship is more important...

But, if you think Lebron with the Cavs can win multiple titles even if he doesn't win this year then obviously that's a better choice.

This question is kind of dumb though- no offense, but you've got it all backwards-both of the options go hand in hand with each other so its pointless to think of them in terms of "this OR this"...if Lebron wins a championship this year, he's more likely to stay a Cavalier...

I actually think LeBron is more likely to leave if we do win a championship. (Not saying that his leaving is likely though.) If we don't win, then he'll look like he's backing out and quitting on us. If we do win, he can say that he won his hometown a championship and then he could move on. I doubt he's leaving either way though. Especially with the way he himself played last night.

I'd take a championship over his staying though. Nothing's guaranteed just because he's a Cavalier.

What player leaves a team after winning a championship without even trying for a repeat?

I don't think any star player in history has done this, it makes no sense, and he would receive just as much criticism from the national media, if not as much from Cleveland, since he didn't even give it a second go around to see if it could be something special...

Another question for you guys. Wouldnt you rather win a championship without him. I mean its got to get really old when everyone talks about Lebron rather then the Cavaliers. I kinda now how it feels cause when Shaq came to Phoenix it was Shaq this and Shaq that, no talk of the team as a whole. And Shaq did nothing for Phoenix. Its so nice to win as a team and not hear consistant talk of one player all the time. For us suns fans we talk about everyone on the team every night because someone different every game steps up big. For us in Phoenix the talk is how the suns play, and how the Suns do this, or how the the Suns do that. Rarely do we talk about the same guy more then a few days.

But with the Cavs, its Lebron this, Lebron that, Why did Lebron do this or why didnt he do that. I never hear anything about the rest of the guys on that team. Its really got to wear you down as a fan constantly hearing the same thing over and over and over. I know it would wear me down.

I think you Cavs fan just want this Lebron drama done with cant imagine how you guys feel. I dont know how you deal with it,
Suns fan since 1988 and always will be

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this instance by an 'orrible ****... me!

If Cleveland wins this year, and LeBron bolts, then what does he really want to get out of playing basketball? He can make the most money in Cleveland, and if they are the best team, what is the point in leaving? It is illogical. You can say that he will make more money in a larger market, but I do not really see that as being plausible. LeBron winning multiple championships would equate to more money than LeBron playing in a larger market.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Because we don't have a bright future outside of LeBron. It's the sad truth.

A 'ship means more by a long shot though.

Yeah it's obvious Championship means a lot more but it isnt possible without LeBron.

Unless we go back to the drawing board and draft good, then maybe I will be able to celebrate a championship in cleveland when I'm 30 something. (am 22 now)
