First of congratulations to all the Pats who made the ALL PRO squad. A big F U to all the jack asses who didn't vote for Logan Mankins. you are all stupid and probabbly do not watch much of the nfl.
but somebody please tell me how Light made this squad? don't get me wrong, I think Matt Light was underappreciated for many years, but now, all fo the sudden when his skills have regressed, he is getting praise?
edit. sorry about that

I fixed the title as well.
As for the reason why Matt Light made it: unless you watch an offensive lineman every game, it

BBJ,
I understand what you are saying but Light was just terrible. Anybody watching him must not have watched much if any of the Pats.
I am praying that we keep Kyle Brady on his side on Saturday ( he is coming back right?)
Mankins simply dominated everyone with the exception of Ngata who ate his lunch. in the weeks following that game, Mankins demonstrated that he had learned from that experience.
as a side note, for my money's worth, i am picking Joe Thomas to be ahead of the Left Tackle list for years to come. I thought he was simply awesome everytime I watched.

I completely agree with you: Light maybe had 3-4 quality games this season. He gets absolutely abused by speed rushers who just spin him around any chance they get.
Put him at RT and he

I disagree that Light was terrible. He was mediocre enough for us to have one of the best offensive lines in the game. Mankins and Koppen were terrific - guys like Light have been good in the past (I always personally thought he had too many penalties) but he was about mediocre this year (although he limited his penalties well).
Bottom line an All-Pro/Pro Bowl offensive line selection is never going to be perfect. There are going to be guys there that are long washed up while other younger guys go unnoticed. Let's at least give props to the NFL for recognizing young guys like Mankins and Koppen.

I agree we could move him at RT and he'd be very good. But I think we're stuck with him at LT for a couple more years unless he gets injured. I also think the chemistry we have on our o-line is huge, and to his credit, Matt is a great team/chemistry guy and has been with those guys and brady for years, so that probably plays into the sucess of the team. But is he better than Mankins? No.
Mankins is the best guard in the AFC. No doubt. (although, Faneca is real real close and has more experience so thats probably why he got in)
