It was a good listen. Hearing him discuss the Hawks from a coaching perspective makes me wonder what we could be with a real head coach.

Notice that he said we fattened up on poor teams to get our 50 wins (he said it was easy to win 50 because there are so many bad teams). He murdered Woodson with that and the comment that our simplistic offense might work in the regular season but wouldn't work in the playoffs against good teams.

Definitely. He made very rational and detailed arguments on the role in coaching in our post season fizzles.

Getting fat off wins against poor teams, getting by with a predictable simplistic offense that's good enough for the regular season, but not for the post-season... hmmmm ... reminds me of a team I know.

Yeah, but with YOUR guy (his highness, himself), it makes sense to just let him go one-on-one.

If I had Wade, I'd use that simplistic approach.
If I had Kobe, ditto.
If I had Carmelo Anthony, Durant, Paul, Deron Williams, ...

... but not Joe.

I heard Hubie on the radio doing the Cleveland-Boston game and Anthony Parker gets taken out with 2 fouls and Hubie goes off on how a lot of coaches do that with 2 fouls, but that he doesn't believe in that. Made me instantly think of Woodson and his foul replacement rules. If you take out a guy with 2 automatically it as if you've given him an imaginary 3rd foul and taken the disadvantage for it. I've always found it hilarious that he'll save a backup after 2 fouls in the first when the guy rarely gets to see the floor in the 2nd half anyway. Schmuck.
