I'm done with basketball... Forever...

Post#1 » by RRT » Fri May 14, 2010 3:01 am

I don't care if he comes back next season or not...

Here's a kid from my hood who I thought would put us on the map...

If they don't care, i don't care, I'll be like him and dedicate my time making money next time it's time to spend 1000$ on some seats.

I'd pay good money to know what is going through Lebron's mind right now.

I'm just done with basketball... It's hard being a cleveland fan on any level, and now all our chances are gone, yeah bye, let's just rebuild our city through hard work and leave sports alone.

Fandom is a lifetime thing man.

Stick with it. The rewards are worth it.

I can't tell you how many sleepless nights I had rethinking bad losses by the Knicks, the Mets blowing division leads on the last day of the season, the Giants sucking, the RedBulls being dominated year in and year out.

Then when they're good, the hope they bring you, how they suddenly make a terrible day great because they win...

Its worth it dude. It is.

Unlike LBJ, I won't quit on this team. Tonight is the end of an era, but be careful what you wish for New York or Chicago. We need to get some tough bulldogs in here who will fight for this city.

Today shows that heart is a lot more than just pure basketball skills. If i was any player on the court at the time, I would of been hard fouling (flagrant). But hey that's just me. But hey we are known as the waiting for the next year city right.

So there's a bandwagon in Cleveland? I thought it was just Miami.

All I ask from Danny Ferry is to rebuild this team with players who will give maximum effort and always fight for this city.

Thats what all fans want man.

We just want to know our guys care. That they're working hard for us. When they don't, we're disappointed. Only thing that makes that attitude ok is winning it all. But if they're out there hustlin and bustlin, we love em' no matter what.

Lebron had 27 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists. Its not like he did not make a strong effort. He had 9 TOs and seemed tentative here and there but the Celtics are a great defensive team of smart vets. They are going to disrupt things.

I know the media has made much of Lebron's demeanor and game 5 did seem strange. But I thought Lebron made a good effort tonight. He just wasn't enough. Williams was great in the first half but disappeared in the second. Varejao gave the Cavs his normal hustle but had some mental lapses on D.

Why do people act like basketball was non-existent in Cleveland before LeBron James.

If he wants to go let him go, who cares. This organization did a hell of a job to keep LeBron happy. Can't do anything more.

Rebuild and make sure the franchise stays in Cleveland.

Did you actually watch the game. Almost any guy can put up points if they take enough shots. Add in all his turnovers and I don't know how anyone could say he had a good game. At least he did not totally roll over as in Game 5. That is all I can say about LBJ.

Yes I watched the game. I watched Lebron lead the team in scoring, rebounds and assists. I watched Mo Williams pass him over on the fast break. I saw him drive many times only to get stripped or disrupted by the Celtics smart veteran defense. Was Lebron dancing and bopping his head to Jay Z songs over the intercom? No. Does that have anything to do with basketball? No.

The Celtics are a much better team than their regular season record indicates. Rivers was just trying to get these guys to the offseason healthy even if it meant sacrificing some in the regular season. The Cavs had the best guy on the court. Boston had the next 4 best guys on the court. The Cavs didn't lose because Lebron quit. The Cavs lost because Boston was the better team.

AV didnt have a good game. He had a couple of mental lapses on D. In case you missed it, the score is a sum of stats. If you don't care about stats then you don't care about the game result. If you want heart then get 12 extremely passionate no talent guys on the court and cheer them on.

That might be commendable but I have been a Nets fan for over 20 years. Try that. I've been through more than you can imagine. I was a fan before Kenny Anderson, before Kendall Gill, before Armon Gilliam, before Keith Van Horn, before Jason Kidd, and a fan before Lebron.

Cleveland whatever happens you were very fortunate to have Lebron for 7 years. He got to play close to where he was from for almost a decade. That is much more than most people can say.

Respectfully,

J Kiddy - A true fan of the game

LeBron doesn't care what Cavs fans think. It's all about the money to him. Business. Not basketball.

It is what it is. I'm still going to support the team. I hope Gilbert stays on as an owner because he's done everything a fan could ask. I hope he blows up the team for bad contracts packaged with draft picks to inject a ton of good youth into this team then we set our sights on a title again.
