A lot of other Cleveland fans don't want to admit it, but Lebron quit on this team and this city. One of the most shameful acts I have ever seen from any professional athlete. I will only be conflicted in rooting for the Cavs if he stays (highly unlikely). Now we get to see how good Danny Ferry really is.

I don't buy that he is anywhere near 80-90%, more like 60-70% Very unfortunate and awful timing for his injury.

Everyone is playing with injuries this time of year. If you are too hurt to play then get out of the game. No one is mentioning that Steve Nash was almost literally playing with one eye, but played well. Also, a hurt elbow does not prevent a player from giving maximum effort.

People are so willing to make excuses for LBJ because we want him to be Michael Jordan. He is not that type of player. LBJ was exposed for what he actually is. He showed his true colors. I have supported LBJ since he arrived in Cleveland, but I shed no tears when he leaves.

Cetlics fan here. Not trolling, Just talking basketball sense.

You shouldn't dog out Lebron like that.....are you telling me didn't try? Are you serious? While his numbers in game 6 weren't lebronesque....27 points 19 rebounds and 10 assists aren't numbers when you go half-a$$ed. You might have an arguement for Game 5.....he didn't look right...whether by injury or lack of interest he just didn't have it. He reminded me of Kobe (against the Suns in 2007) and I totally 100% agree with you. I hate the lakers but I hate Kobe even more for things like that he has done in his career. While I don't hate Lebron he didn't win any points in my book from game 5.

You do and every Cavs fan has every right to be upset but to say he didn't try is nonense. Everytime he drove there were Celtics in the way.....LBJ's game feeds on being able to attack the rim and when he can't he struggles. I hope he does stay in Cleveland, I always think Star players should stick with their team BUT Mike Brown needs to go and some of those role players need to go. I'm sorry but most people think that James had a good supporting cast....he did not. Shaq is done....he hurts you more than he helps you. Jamison hurts more than he helps you because the man plays no defense....he's just another North Carolina player that was built to play offense only (ala Vince Carter). Lebron needs a wingman....a TRUE wingman.....only problem is that with money tied to other players like Jamison's absurd contract. I don't think they have the money to get him that player he needs....Mo Williams is garbage and is not a wingman.

Good luck to you guys and your city....again I hope he stays.....but the owner's need to get him what he wants....a true complimentary player.

Let me put it in perspective. Lebron did have a good box score. BUT he was 4-14 at one point in the game. Now, take his "no help, old, slow" center- in his prime- he demanded the ball in big games, so much so, that his prima donna star would get pissy about it. He WANTED the offense run thru him, and he picked up his performance in the playoffs. His team benefitted when he was unstoppable. In this series, Lebron did that only once- in game 3. He then left a turd in the punchbowl for the rest of the series. I know he had pretty numbers to fill up the stat line, but only 2 numbers matter to me- 9, as in 9 turnovers, and 4, as in the number of games the Celtics won.

The team reflects its leadership. Lebron is the leader. He did not play like the MVP, and his team fed off of that. Their body language was parallel to Lebron's. In the 1st half of the game, Mo and Shaq did their parts, Lebron sort of had it rolling. Then in the 2nd half, Lebron was lethargic, dribbling off his foot, and seemed like he didn't want any part of the offense until they were getting drilled, so he hit a couple of 3's. He should have taken control of the game like MJ would, like Kobe would, and like prime Shaq would. But he didn't.

I really hope that there is truth to the rumors that his elbow has a torn tendon or that he was on heavy painkillers. Because if not, he should be ashamed of himself.

Karma's a bitch. Lebron shouldn't have been dancing and show-boating all season long.

I'm not sure what to say here other than, the hype didn't match the reality. It feels like the media outlets trumped up this team to be something they were not. I'm not a Cavs fan, but I love watching great basketball and Lebron is an amazing player, so it was a bit bittersweet watching him and this team go down to the Celtics. On one hand you want a player of Lebron's caliber to win, yet on the other, there were so many glaring flaws that you knew it was only a matter of time until they got exposed.

This team and the coaching staff relied too heavily on LeBron to create every offenvise oppourtunity. Even Jordan and Kobe couldn't do that for 48 minutes. When a team can game plan over the course of seven games, the flaws become amplified and then exploited. Give the Celtics credit for following through on a game plan, but definitely spread the blame all the way up the management chain for hitching thier wagon to players like Jamison or Mo Williams. Mike Brown clearly deserves some of the blame too.

I feel bad for the fans of Cleveland and really, they should be laying the blame on everyone BUT Lebron James. Not sure how anyone can argue when a guy almost averages a triple double in the regular season and in the playoffs.

Im a Bucks fan. I like alot of other fans were cheering for Boston, however, I can look at the game semi-objectively.

It seemed to me that 1-8 Boston had a better team. Im not going to say much better, but marginally better. During the regular season, Boston had a lot of injuries and playing ball with several guys in their 30s led to them not playing at full strength every night, mostly due to injury, and not being able to develop a chemistry.

Come the end of the season, it seemed that all of their players were able to get healthy and rest prior to the playoffs in certain instances.

Comparing the Lineups 1-7 also favors Boston IMO.

Rondo is decisively better than Mo
Allen is decisively better than Parker
Pierce is a step below LeBron
Garnett is better than the Hickson/Jamison mix at the 4
Varejao/Shaq are better than the Big Baby/Perkins duo at the 4/5

Jamison was supposed to be that "guy" that put you guys over the top. He was supposed to provide the extra scoring and be a presence to help LeBron. On paper, it seemed ok. However, LeBron dominates the ball and gets a lot of his assists kicking out to 3pt shooters once he gets the lane to collapse on his drive. Jamison's game is more predicated on having ball in hand. He is a decent midrange shooter, but he isnt quite the 3pt spot up shooter/rebounder like a Troy Murphy (who i thought would have been a better fit).

Even though Ferry has done a decent job putting players around LeBron, it has not worked out. In the playoffs, if you have one guy that dominates the ball so much... he needs to be efficient. In your losses, LeBron was giving it away more than that girl in school who bedded half the football team. Someone needed to reign him in and make it clear that he couldnt win the game himself and he needed to get guys like Jamison, Shaq, and Mo touches.. so they could do their thing and produce something for the team.

9 turnovers in game 6 by one player just wont get it done on any level. Nor is that an indicator of an elite champion. Guys like Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Magic just would not have mental breakdowns like that. Maybe the problem is, those same guys had players on their team that could check said superstar and let them know they are playing ridiculous. LeBron obviously doesnt have that. I dont think his ego would allow it.

Mashburn had a good observation regarding LeBron needing to develop a pull-up jumper. If teams clog the lane, too often he settles for the 3, hence 4 - 14 shooting or whatever it was. When the lane is too congested, turnovers occur more readily.

I blame the series loss on a serious lack of testicular fortitude be each and every one on the Cavs, including the coach. Lebron is the leader, and he did not once put an opponent onthe floor in the paint. Further his elbow obviously affected his jumper but did he go down to the low post to use his advantage there? No.
Did the coach tell him to go to the low post? Probably not, probable cause, lack of gonads. Did the coach motivate his playes to play like men? Clearly not. I dont understand why.
Lebron had a great stat line for the most part, but I was hoping for the 10th turnover to complete the quadruple double near the end of the game. It would have been fitting.
At least Shaq admitted to giving the series away. And yes I do give Boston credit for winning, at least they played like men. I still believe the Cavs had the better team, but played soft and it cost them the series.

Twice he tried posting his man in the fourth quarter ala Kobe but turned it over. Lebron has made steady progress in his shooting (especially from the arc). He just needs to keep expanding his game similar to what Kobe and MJ had done by developing go-to postup moves, mid-range pull ups, and triple-threat plays. You can only drive so much on a good defense.
