Commons reaction was priceless though  looked like he just won the lotto....not that he needs to though.

I didn't want to comb through all the threads to see if this was brought up lol.

The one thing about being a Bulls fan is that we never lost a series from 1984-1998 where we had the better record. Imagine how much hardache we would have winning 60+ games yearly and then losing in round 2 or the ECF?

holy crap.....

ESPN is beginning to talk "Lebron to the Bulls" as much as it talks Yankees/Red Sox.

This can't be good for us.

I stopped reading when he insinuated that Paxson would rather have Deng and Hinrich over superstars.

He did try to get Garnett,
He did try to get Gasol,
The Bulls did Want Kobe.

I know many fans will disagree and say he wouldn't trade Deng for Kobe, or he wouldn't trade Deng for Gasol, But those trades didn't exist other than in the imagination of "experts" like him and the fans that believed it.

Then again maybe i'm completely wrong and Pax a guy that won with a superstar doesn't want one.

+1

Supposedly Kobe didnt want to come to the bulls if Deng was traded. They offered a huge package for both Gasol and Garnett. I mean lets be honest, i know Deng, Hinrich, Gordon, chandler, Currry all didnt end up being as good as we thought they be. But at the time, they were regarded and promising players and at the time, they were asking for pretty much all of them for Garnett or Gasol. You can't blame pax for saying no at the time, it would be similar to Toronto calling us at the deadline asking for Rose and Noah for Bosh. If we had gotten Garnett, i dont feel we would've won a title and i feel we would've been a horrible situation at this point because we wouldn't have rose and we wouldn't be in the position we're in now.

Maybe this no head band rule wasn't actually instituted for reasons previously stated? Maybe it was to protect player from Paxson...soon there will be a no tie rule for execs.

As much as i want to pop wood over this, i just wonder how Scoop Jackson would come across info like this. I want this to be true so bad but my head says Scoop made that up. Common's reaction was awesome though

We can add the mythical draft night Wade trade.

However, there was ONE(1) trade that Paxson turned down. He did turn down a trade for Gasol for a package which included Deng. He said part of the reasoning was that Noc was injured. This was a big mistake obviously. For a total of ONE(1).

I mean he's had hits and misses but re the mythical trades he supposedly doesn't want to make, only one real trade *Pax* turned down.

Oh I think they offered Tyson and the #7 pick (turned out to be Deng) for Harrington, supposedly Pacers turned that down. That would have been, not good.
