in the offseason? not much. but he would fetch more right before the trade deadline. maybe they can package curry with gallo or chandler to do a sign and trade with a free agent they want.

I would do Rip for Curry and that is only because I feel the Pistons desperately need to move on and allow Gordon to start with Stuckey. Rip would make a *great* 3rd option to LeBron & any of Amare/Boozer/Bosh/Lee or whoever. He's a solid 2-way player with championship experience and most importantly he's *clutch*. Unlike guys like Jamison & Mo Williams who disappear when needed Rip actually increases his numbers in the post-season, has been our most consistent 4th quarter player for years and is a very good FT shooter down the stretch. He's exactly the sort of vet you want on a playoff team.

Sadly the Pistons are no longer that team, but that shouldn't diminish his value. What hurts his value is obviously his contract, but it's one the Knicks should be willing to pay if all it costs them is Curry.

As for Ben Gordon? He's off limits. And you have no shot at a player like Monta or Iggy. That's a bit ridiculous. The sort of guys you'll be able to land are productive guys on bad contracts. Maybe a Maggette or Baron as previously mentioned. Certainly Brand, although I don't think that's at all good for NY lol.

look, if the knicks were to sign lebron plus another big name, like they want to do, i think it might be smart to package eddy curry with someone like gallo. gallo has value, and though hes a building block, the knicks will need pieces. maybe curry and gallo can get back three players who can play with say, lebron and bosh.

Warriors are not looking to "DUMP" Monta. They will trade him but only for value.
The W's could part with Maggette.

It would be a big risk by NY to make that type of deal during the draft but if you really wanna get Lebron u gotta do it. So who can they fetch? Monta Ellis? Emeka Okafor?

:o

Eddy Curry to Golden State for Monta Ellis? WTF! :curse:

I feel shocked.

Teams that take on expiring contracts usually want picks as well. Don't see NY dumping curry for anyone better than mediocre, and i doubt they will dump him for a longer contract if they whiff this off season on a set of stars.

If Bosh and LeBron come to NY then Baron Davis makes sense...

C-Chris Bosh
PF-Danilo Gallinari
SF-LeBron James
SG-Wilson Chandler
PG-Baron Davis

Big Z would've been bought out and returned to the Cavs, saving that team A LOT of money. Curry isn't accepting a buyout.

Bosh at centre..........lol

Also, Bron, Bosh and Barons combined contract total would hit around 60 million annually. Think about that.

If the Knicks got Bron and Bosh, they should most definately NOT go and get Baron Davis.

I would trade you Rip Hamilton, probably don't need much incentive other than the expiring Eddy Curry. It'd be an addition by subtraction move for us, and if you guys get some good FA's that don't play shooting guard, say Lebron and Amare, RIp would be a nice 3rd option there.

What about Curry's expiring corpse + Wilson Chandler + filler for Gilbert Arenas? This move would have to take place after the Knicks use their cap space on LeBron, Bosh, Joe Johnson, or whomever.

Washington gets out of Gilbert's long term deal and New York gets are good point guard to run Dan'toni's system.

Curry has negative value now and positive value at the deadline. He will be one of three centers opening night and I would not be surprised if he starts. In addition to James and Bosh, one of the free agent centers will probably pass up more money to come along for a chance at a ring.

Would NYK fans trade Galo with Curry for a TPE? pretty much an all out run at the FA market this year? What kinda options would that give them?
