Trade Yao for Bosh Sign Shaq?

Post#1 » by Daonly » Sat May 15, 2010 4:27 pm

How about we use Yao as a Trade bait for Bosh and sign Shaq to replace Yao? With Brad Miller as a Back Up? then go after Paul with NYK picks and expirings and Brooks?

I would love to have Shaq.
1v1 Shaq would destroy Yao or Howard.

But this team is better with Yao... much better...

Also Yao's skills will be invaluable late in games, he is our go to guy.

I would rather have Yao and Scola than Bosh and Shaq

I wouldn't mind having Shaq be a backup to Yao!

problem: shaq is 38, not much left in the tank, and he does not settle for MLE.

Why trade Yao when we can get Bosh with picks, expirings, and fillers?

I don't like the idea of Shaq as a starter in Houston. He's too old and doesn't play consistent defense. We need Yao to protect the paint, especially with K-Mart and Brooks' inability to stay in front of their men. This is why picking up Hayes team option was crucial. Can you imagine what our defense would be like without Hayes or Yao?

I think that this season is Yao's last chance in Houston, I for one am sick of him being injured all the time, and having my heart broken when he goes down, (again.) Signing Shaq IS NOT the answer however, maybe Andersen will develop into some freak over the summer!!!!!!

Time to go smoke another joint now..........

Nah honestly Shaq is a bum, i'd take my chances on yao's health and watch bosh/yao dominate.

No, it is entirely possible...once Les stops caring about money.

Yao isn't going anywhere. His value to Les Alexander goes far beyond basketball production. Besides, if Bosh were to demand a S&T to Houston, I'd imagine the biggest reason would be for him to tap into the biggest market out there...and if Yao's gone, then so is that market. He would want to benefit from the Yao Effect, not run it away from him.

Whats funny is that Toronto fans actually believe Houston would trade Yao for Bosh. The idea is to play them TOGETHER! HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

The more I think about it, the more I see it being Hill, Battier, Jefferies + pick for Bosh. If that trade happens then I can see Les forking out the money to retain Luis and Lowry.

Does Bosh want to come to Texas?? He should!

It amused me when Shaq couldn't jump so he'd turn around really "quick" and try a very ugly looking and ineffective version of Scola's post-up finger roll.

That's what they briefly suggested on the Chinese NBA.com.
They were also talking about how Houston has a great chance of landing Lebron :o .
But personally, I don't see Yao Ming leaving Houston.

No, not because he's the greatest center ever or because he's a vital piece to a championship, but simply you can't just allow the China market to slip through into other hands. That will cut them a huge amount of potential profits.
Look at Shane Battier, he's a huge deal in China, but he's nothing other than a poor man's Bruce Bowen. We all know he's a decent role player, but not a star. But they are giving him star treatment in China.

You can keep Yao if you want Bosh. Just give us Jared Jeffries, Jordan Hill, your draft picks
(14 and 4 if you get it, along with your late first rounder) and any fillers as long as you take Hedo off our hands.
