WHY would McNabb come here?

Think about it:

He could be closer to home, play in a dome, and play behind an all-pro line with a future hall of fame running back...

...or......

He could play at home, where the pressure is higher than he currently has it in Philly, outdoors in the cold, behind what will be an aging and/or rookie o-line with no RB to speak of.

Even with the Chicago pressure, Philly pressure takes it hands down in terms of "perform, damnit" levels.

I was watching that Eagles-Cowboys game, and he was getting molested behind that offensive line, not sure why he'd want to switch to an absolutely atrocious one.

Oh look, another false start penalty on John St. Clair and the game's been over for 2 hours.

Minnesota does indeed look like a better option for McNabb. But I don't think they're ready to give up on Tavaris Jackson yet, especially if they make the playoffs. Honestly though, Jackson sucks and I think he's gonna keep them outta the playoffs and the Giants and Saints will end up with the wild cards. Bears do actually have better receiving options than Minnesota though. McNabb loves his tight ends and I think he'd do some damage with Clark and Olsen. Just package this year's 1st rounder which Angelo would either trade down or completely blow anyway for McNabb. Then draft a left tackle, safety (Zbikowski?) and a RB on day one of the draft.

But that is what McNabb would look at. I seriously doubt Minnesota would become "true" contenders with Mcnabb, but I think Chicago would.

He would have a better shot at a Superbowl here then in Minny

Why do you think that the Bears would be contenders with McNabb any more so than the Vikings would be?

The Bears D, when healthy, is good enough to get us to the playoffs by themselves. The Vikes do have a better O-line, and running backs, but their D isn't comparable. Mcnabb can go and be a complement to an already solid offense, or be the offense in Chicago, and be able to coast to wins.

This is by no means a shot at the Vikes D, who are having a great year, but I don't think you can even compare the two

I agreed with some or most of the comments. Unless this offensive line gets better fast, McNabb shouldn't plan on playing here. He'd be injured after the first few snaps if we have guys blowing assignments/blocks. We've got to shore up the Line and get a RB. We can live with Rex, but drafting a new QB in the latter rounds to eventually be the guy with an arm and accuracy to get us back into contention (imo its FLACCO, but its because he's from my alma mater).

If I'm the Bears, McNabb is the guy I target this offseason. I think he'd be a really good fit and finally give the team the answer at QB it has been lacking. Still have to improve the offensive line though.

McNabb just wrote in his blog that the Eagles need to get more weapons for him. What weapons do the Bears have? They have a lot less than the Eagles do. I don't see McNabb in a Bears uni next season.

If the Eagles go get him some help on the line and a solid receiver, he'll be fine. Personally, I think the Eagles should go get Stallworth or Johnson (Ocho Cinco). McNabb won't come to a team with an old line and a shaky receiving core. Donovan is a dream for the Bears, one that won't come true.
