Wade with a busted up Shaq and a bunch of decrepit veterans won a ring. Wade alone is worth every single player on your roster put together. The fact that when you compare your wonder core to a 2010 Miami team that was Wade and no one else, and Miami comes out on top, is proof enough of that. Miami has enough room and pieces to sign and trade for a third max player that is better than Rose. And if Wade and Lebron sign together, there will be a long line of players waiting to join the legendary dynasty Pat Riley is building.
Sorry, but when it comes to hypothetical situations there are none better than the above.
Yeah, one of the weakest championship teams ever. Combine that with some very suspect officiating, and I think it's safe to say that you need to be much stronger than the 06 Heat to even come close to a title today.
None of the max players you get outside of Bosh are better than Rose. And hardly anyone would trade a rising superstar in Rose for Bosh, a player who has watched the playoffs from his couch two straight years. Bosh is better than Rose now, but won't be for long. I also highly doubt LeBron would want to play with a 28 year old Wade who can't get any better. 5 years from now, is LeBron crazy enough to prefer a 33 year old washed up Wade or an in his prime Derrick Rose? Look at how far Kobe has fallen off statistically - and he's not even 33 yet and is much more skilled than Wade. That's the difference. LeBron on the Heat might contend for 4-5 years. LeBron on the Bulls contends for the next decade.
Chicago can also make trades to clear room for this "other max player" just as easily as Miami can, so we can pretend that they can sign one of Boozer/Amare/Bosh along with LeBron.
And how exactly did Miami come out on top? Because they lucked out with Chicago's 3 best players going down for a significant period of time and then did nothing more than Chicago in the playoffs? The two teams would finish with near identical records if the injury situations are similar for both teams. Simply put, Chicago has a better roster than Miami. More youth and talent. Nothing outside of playing with Wade (who has maybe 3-4 more years as a top 5 player) would interest LeBron in Miami.
