What I have learned there (these are completely serious):
-Rose is a shooting guard
-Rose can't finish left
-Hinrich would be better next to Lebron than Rose
-Gallo=God
-Deng is awful (mind looking at your own roster there guys?)
-Chicago doesn't have 'The Madison Square Garden Effect'
-Everyone in the media that has pointed Lebron to Chicago is an idiot, moron, or whatever term they use over in the northeast.
-Noah and Varajeo are the same player
-LULZ Taj Gibson
-Rose is a shooting guard
-Rose can't finish left
-Hinrich would be better next to Lebron than Rose
-Gallo=God
-Deng is awful (mind looking at your own roster there guys?)

If LeBron is considered to arguably become the GOAT and play where the GOAT of all time played makes it different than any other argument about a player going to another team even though a certain great player played there.
Shaq going to the Lakers had nothing to do with Shaqs legacy. Shaq was never considered the GOAT. Shaq never even said he was the greatest center of all time....just the most dominant. Kobe can't even be mentioned because he was traded on draft night to the Lakers.
I don't see this argument being as dumb as some of you may see it. Some "experts" agree and some "experts" disagree.
Let's cut through all the BS. Does the logic make sense that he has a better chance of becoming the GOAT in NY rather than Chi?
If so, I would love to hear a reasonable argument.
I guess the only way would be if Knicks signed LeBron and another superstar....and the fact that the organization loves going into luxury tax even with a mediocre team. "If" that happens....LeBron has a shot and doing some some damage in NY.
As for the pressure of MJ's Shadow and pressure of playing in NY....i can understand that 100% but does LeBron and his ego understand that? No one knows....yet.
The only thing we have to go off of is LeBron saying that his number one objective is winning in where he signs next year. No matter how you look at it, the Knicks won't be able to provide that situation for him. In that case, his best choices would be Chicago and Miami and even possibly NJ in some kind of order.
This whole "shadow theory" is something the media has made up and people from NY are rationalizing as a way to convince themselves that LeBron would want to build a legacy for himself there as opposed to Chicago. It's imaginary.

it's not bad if you ignore any post with the word Rose and Gallo in them and also acknowledge the fact that they have a plan as Chicago has a plan, and point out the fact that having plans doesn't necessarily mean that plan will work. In general they're much like Chicago fans, they don't want to hear any negative spin from anyone, and will hype all positive spin as if it's straight from the lips of god.
i disagree. we at least try to sound objective and knowledgeable of both sides of the situation.
I used to think the same way until the media actually started mentioning us and Lebron in the same sentence. I honestly was embarrassed at the state of the board for that day and a half. Quite pathetic.
We're definitely more humble than Knicks fans, but it seems to end there.

then again, maybe thats just my bias talking and gallo really is the next dirk, and bosh has already agreed to terms with donnie walsh
Some of "us" do. If you read that thread from start to finish though they've had plenty of Chicago fans coming over there and giving them the nanna nanna booboo treatment. Alot of "them" have handled it the same way alot of "us" would. I will say one big noticeable difference is the Mods. Most of our mods really do seem very open minded when discussing things that they may disagree with, it's much different on that side of the tracks. Also they seem to have a lot more RealGm's that add nothing to a debate other than "but you suck and we don't" "mecca, mecca, mecca".

Apparently the site admins here are very good people at heart in real life. But my God, what a homer.

Note that most of the media they are discussing ARE idiots, just they are not idiots for noting that if Lebron wants to win Chicago would likely be in the picture.

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
Rose is the perfect Robin for LBJ as Batman. More so than Wade. Wade can put up monster stats by going hard to the hoop, but I dont know that he's necessarily made teammates better. He can open up free shots for LBJ, but I think Rose can do it even better.
LBJ and Rose would play at an unbelievable speed. It would overwhelm teams.
Wade meanwhile has been an injury risk for awhile now, mainly because he absolutely destroys himself physically to get his hard-earned points.
It's not an open and shut case, but I think the Bulls are ahead of Miami based on that. And the fact that Noah/Deng crushes the rest of Miami's supporting cast.
We're looking at a strong five or six with NBDL talent filling out the roster. Miami is looking at a strong three or so with NBDL talent filling out the roster. ok, 'NBDL' may be extreme, but those are the realities of having two full-boats and using two full-boats.

Yep - "Our stadium isn't really really old."
We had a vote here, most fans felt under 50% that Lebron was coming here, so, I think very very very few people think it's a done deal and people don't think Chicago is the center of the universe and our really old stadium the bestest thing ever.

I will say that I find it odd that a fanbase so sure they'll land 2 "maxcats" needs 30 + pages of posts to talk themselves into why they don't have to "worry about Chicago".

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
If I was a NYK or MIA fan, I'd be really irritated by the following:
Anytime we want to get that second full-boat freed up, all we have to do is trade Noah with one of the larger contracts we have left. That's not saying we will have to, but if it came to that, we can match the greatest asset of these two-boat teams, and STILL have a better roster left over. Than theirs.

But then they'd say "why would Bosh and Lebron want to play with NO center guarding the paint and getting rebounds". most of them not seeing the irony in that statement.

Good point. Even with teams not wanting long contracts, no doubt teams will take Hinrich + Noah without thinking twice.
Another small point which won't help NYK: The draft is really close to the start of free agency. And the draft is a time where the media is talking about the nba, and how much teams are getting better. You'll have draft winners, the excitement of incoming talent, and final pieces being added to help bolster teams for free agency. Its important. Well, everyone will be getting better but the knicks at that time.

What i find funny about HEAT Knicks and Nets fans saying Lebron wont come to the Bulls are ALL ASSUMING that their team will sign an additional Free Agent. With the Bulls there are less assumptions. Rose and Noah for sure will be there and IF you add Lebron you can compete in the East. Knicks, HEAT, and Nets fans are all ASSUMING. The Nets and the Knicks rosters are not as impressive as the Bulls and the HEAT without Wade is trash.

I still want this to be Derrick Rose's team but if Lebron comes here, well... It's probably going to be Rose taking the backseat, and I'm sure HE doesn't mind but I still want Rose being the Franchise!

I think if a team is to ever win a championship, Derrick Rose could be a #1, but likely be a #2.

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
If LeBron James is signed by the Bulls this summer, Derrick Rose's game is going to explode. Guaren-freaking-tee it.
Even though LeBron isn't a dead-eye shooter from deep, defenders play him tight all the way out to the three-point line. He's the best in the league at collapsing a defense and drawing attention to himself. Rose is going to see a million open 15-17 footers as well as wide-open lanes here and there. Something he didn't see often this season.
Keep in mind that Derrick is excellent at moving off the ball. So he'll get his. That should be the least of our concerns.
What we really should be focusing on is the fact that Derrick would be the best player to ever have played alongside LeBron. Then Cavs fans can throw names at me like crazy, but we all know it's true. Shaq, Mo, Z, 'Tawn, Ricky (heh).. None of them is on the level of Derrick.

I agree. There is a "anyone who suggest LeBron shouldn't be a Bull is a tool-anyone who does speaks the gospel" type sentiment. Same goes with people who prefer Westbrook, Lopez, etc over Rose. I mean this board has a consensus to it and people ride it. You differ from that, you're an idiot/tool/etc
