The media and rumors are conflicted as to who they think will get Lebron
Delonte West slept with Lebron's mom

The funny part is that everyone is getting all worked up trying to think of arguments why Lebron would want to join their team, instead of any other team. Everyone believes they have the most valid, decisive claim.

We will just have to wait and see. There are too many invisible variables in this matter. I do hope Lebron joins Chicago, but i'm not getting my hopes up too high. I don't like being disappointed.

Curiosity -- if the Bulls feel by July 1st there is a legit chance at landing LeBron, would anyone take the *risk* of trying to have a pre-agreed deal during the draft to trade Deng on July 1st to a team under the cap (say Minny or DC) for a pick. Then make a run at Boozer/Lee and LeBron.

How does Miami have the cash to sign Wade, Amare and Joe Johnson? They'd only have 9mil after giving out 2 max deals, and they'd have to fill out the bench as well. Unless of course Johnson takes a huge paycut.

It could just be Beasley, Cook + capspace for Joe Johnson S&T. I think that Miami could do that b/c they'd be under the cap. Johnson could start at around $14-15 million and average $16-17 million over the course of his deal.

I think that Miami might even have enough money to sign a decent vet center (possibly JO if he'll sign for around $3 million so that he can have a decent title shot). Possibly someone like Brad Miller, if he doesn't go to us or to Houston.

Chalmers
Wade
Joe Johnson
Amare
JO

And absolutely no bench. Lots of absolute minimum players. But the starting 5 would be up there with the best.

If Childress agrees to rejoin Atlanta they could be in decent shape.

Bibby/ Teague/ JCraw
JCraw/ Childress/ Cook
Josh Smith/ Williams/ Childress
Beasley/ Smith/ Horford
Horford/ Zaza

That team wouldn't be great but should still make the playoffs. And it would be respectable financially. And what more can they really expect?

Hope this stuff about the close relationship Oakley and LeBron have is true:

Don't kid yourself. Number 23 is as good as gone.

And it has nothing to do with LeBron James announcing months ago that he was changing his uniform number from 23 to 6.

"Chicago or Miami," says Charles Oakley, the former Knicks power forward. "Not New York. He's leaving."

Oakley has become a friend/mentor to the NBA's two-time MVP over the last few years. They have an Ohio connection - Oakley owns a home in the Cleveland suburbs - as well as a world-famous connection. Oakley is best friends with James' idol, Michael Jordan. (LeBron is changing his number to honor Jordan.)

Watching pre-game and Barry and Wilbon botht think the Bulls are the best opportunity for Lebron to win. Wilbon thinks the new NJ owner will talk him into going to NJ. Doesn't really say why except says he's got a bunch of money. Logic makes no sense since Lebron is interested in winning--which is why he'd want to leave. I'm sorry, but that's not happening in NJ. They won an epic fail 12 games last season. They may have players that look good on paper, but they absolutely suck worse than the current Cavs team without Lebron.

Dude, I would trade Deng for a pick and cap space even after Lebron signs an extension with the Cavs.

Deng would be perfect next to Wade & Amar'e for Miami.

This illustrates a point that I made in a different thread. IMO, if we really want to dump Deng for capspace and a pick, at least one team (and probably more than one) will want to take him.

My friend texted me that on ESPN one of LeBrons friends said he is going to either Miami or Chicago. Anyone see it?

also id be down for the deng for cap space trade but miami needs to be careful that chicago doesnt become too scary

still i think i prefer deng at 10 mil over johnson at 16

we could keep beasley or trade him for a pg or center

Return to Chicago Bulls
