Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
and of course only if lebron chooses chi over miami
i think that it makes sense for lebron to choose chi or miami...they are the two best teams/situations of the 2010 teams and he SHOULD have his pick of destination

I think the Bulls would do it if they were getting one of Amare or Bosh. Which, of course, would mean Miami wouldn't be getting amare or Bosh.

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
I don't see trading Deng for a pick to be an issue. The issue is would the Bulls even consider it? I'd use that capspace to lure Boozer/Lee and Asik over. IMO, Rose is the kind of player that would be content being a "#3" in that situation, although IMO he'd be the 2nd best player on the team. You fill the roster with players who can defend and shoot. However, I don't see the Bulls paying for that team long-term. You got two Max deals, one near Max, and Noah. However, at the same time, with Deng on this team, we have the same problem re: future salary.

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
if its true that its b/w chi and miami i think that lebron may see chi w/ rose, noah, deng >= wade + beasley + 9 mil in cap space
however if miami lands a 3rd max that may tip this in miami's favor
to me thats what this may come down to

This illustrates a point that I made in a different thread. IMO, if we really want to dump Deng for capspace and a pick, at least one team (and probably more than one) will want to take him.
If this ends up happening, I'm sending herds of people to fellate you.

if we get a 4 with any combination of deng our picks Asik/jj/taj we slide ahead IMO

I wonder how much Chicago being near Cleveland will play a role..
I don't know much about LeBron's charities or anything. But, doesn't he have a bunch of basketball camps that are in Cleveland? I imagine Chicago being close to these not to mention his ridiculous house in Ohio would be a huge plus.

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
This off-season is going to be like civil war with teams try to get the players they wanted and fans dreaming, discussing, and etc.
Only thing is there will be no guns, knifes, tanks, and other weapons.
This is going to be great and fun!

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.
NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Re: Lebron/Bulls gossip & rumors (merging)
My gut feeling on LeBron:
I dont think it is all about "winning" for LeBron.
LeBron loves just being LeBron & being adored as LeBron.
The King loves status & the Yankees & moving in elite circles.
Based on the above, New York seems like the pinnacle for him.
I just cant bet against the Knicks.

The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.

I heard that podcast with Wilbon and I was thinking, If Wilbon was really a Bulls fan, then he would know that Don Jerry always said that if he had a contending team he would pay the tax.He did it with Jordan, and I would think he would do it with LBJ.I think some folks forget this point about Jerry.
