WTF guys?!?!?!?

While you're talking about how the Knicks two best players play the same position as LeBron, may not be better than the 2nd or 3rd best player on his current team, will have trouble filling out the rest of the team due to giving away picks like Jack Finn does the lulz, how Dan Tony's coaching philosophy goes against LeBron's statement earlier this year about how important defense was to team success, and how Dan Tony has already said he'd play him at the pf spot, you've failed to mention that:

NY is the mecca of basketball despite their last title coming from before LeBron was born

They can fold their pizza

Spike Lee makes his movies there

They have tvs and the internet, which means that LeBron will get the sponsorships he has failed to get while playing in Cleveland

Euro Matt Bullard has sworn off banging his teammate's family members since the last time that happened Kobe was born and he terrorizes the Knicks.

Lets say Lebron chooses to play here. How long before we know. Will it be before July 1st or way after?

July 1st or after...you may get some clues or hints before but he's obviously gonna visit teams

So true. How ever did I overlook all that.

the Knicks braintrust has deduced that what James needs most on his side is a sniper and a player who can create his own shot in the fourth quarter.
Both elements would take the heavy burden off James. The Knicks feel they have the sniper in Danilo Gallinari and a fourth-quarter shotmaker in Wilson Chandler -- two young players improving every season.

Knicks brass don't believe James necessarily needs a prominent point guard because James handles the ball so much and is such a great passer, he essentially is the point guard and floor general.

In fact, the main thing the Bulls' cast has over the Knicks' cast is at point, with Derrick Rose. Some league personnel wonder if James and Rose would mesh well because both players need the ball most of the time.

More at link on D'antoni's hopeful optimism

Those two statements underlined don't jive very well. Especially after they apparently think Wilson Chndler is a guy who can "create his own shot" and "take Pressure off Lebron". That's got Derrick Rose written all over it.

The best part is how Chris Broussard said on Mike and Mike that they offered Gallo and Chandler for Tony Parker.

“Chicago or Miami,” says Charles Oakley, the former Knicks power forward. “Not New York. He’s leaving. “He wants to go someplace where he can win. He’s been in the league, what, seven or eight years? It’s time for him to get over the hump.

Oakley is said to be close to Lebron, but everyone lately is said to be close to Lebron.

Jesus! and I don't mean Black. Thanks. and I just read KC Johnsons's blog on that too. That is better than an anonymous internet "insider" eh? I'm about to take a peek at the Knicks board. There must be lots of consternation over there. Unless they are immune to negative thoughts.

I have to say, I bleed for this all to happen in Chicago, but I just don't want Lebron to go to the Knicks. That city and its fans are already insufferable enough. Anywhere but NY. That would be an intolerable nightmare.

+ 1

I can't say that I don't want the Knicks to make improvement, because I honestly do(just not more than us). Not for their fans, but so we can have a rivalry that means a bit more than beating on a door mat. I enjoyed nothing more than to watch the Bulls crush their dreams repeatedly back in the day.

Sorry for the late comments but I also just read the thing about Lebron wanting the Knicks to try out his high school buddy, and they may have told him ...no prob. Uh, Lebron can't be that stupid. That had to be a little test that Lebron gave the Knicks, and they failed. Lebron must now be going..OMG, that NY team is moronic.

It didn't say Lebron wanted them try him did it? I thought it was was saying they would give him a chance to make the team if it would make Bron happy..basiclly

edit :

Marc Berman of the New York Post writes that the Knicks could help lure LeBron James to town by giving one of his former high school teammate's a spot on their summer league roster.

The Knicks are in need of help at the point guard position and could give Dru Joyce III, who played in Poland last season, a shot to make the team.

Berman continues that the Knicks could even offer Joyce an invitation to training camp if that's what it would take to land James.

These reports have even warmed Mariotti's anti-mgmt heart:

http://jay-mariotti.fanhouse.com/2010/0 ... -new-team/

But he must leave anyway. And if the destination is Chicago, where he spent the previous series raving about the talent and the city and the shopping and everything but the pizza, then it seems a much better idea than staying in Quicken Loans Arena for another six years.

They call it The Q, by the way.

As in quit.

Random thought:

Imagine Rose and LeBron running a p&r. LeBron at 270 or whatever he is would set some thick picks. If they double Rose, then LeBron gets a wide open shot or a running head start at attacking help defenders sagging off of their guys in a 3 on 2 situation. If they double LeBron, noo one can obviously stay in front of Rose for more than a split second and you have another advantage with the defense having to rotate to help out.

I don't know how often we would run it, but that would be one of the more unique p&r combos in recent memory if we chose to do that.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I've been thinking the same thing. I think they'd be highly effective together.

I'm sure he's fully aware that the Knicks roster blows.

He can’t know what’s not true. ‘Larry Legend’ Galinari, ‘Pip’ Chandler and ‘Zeke’ Douglas are ideal fits next to him as well as budding NBA megastars.

I would love when all things are said and done Taj Gibson secures us Lebron James.
After this board went nuts at draft night(me included) and he was the worst pick ever.

At least one of the Bulls considers LeBron James a close friend. It might not be the first player you'd guess.

Rookie forward Taj Gibson met James in California and they hit it off. Following the March 19 game at the United Center, James headed to center court specifically to deliver a hug to Gibson.

"Me and LeBron, we talk all the time," Gibson said. "He's always giving me some knowledge. It's funny playing against him in the playoffs, because he's going right after it."

Gibson isn't quite certain how this all came about, other than James spends time in Los Angeles during the summers and works out at USC, which is where Gibson attended college. Being a basketball junkie, James must have known Gibson was one of the Trojans' better players.

"My college teammate called me and said, 'LeBron's here and he's asking where you're at,' " Gibson recalled. "I went up to the gym, LeBron was in there and he was like, 'What's up, man?' I went in there and talked to him. He was in there stretching.
