there really is so much in play before now and the free agency signing period begins. With the draft (nets) and trades...what happens if NY somehow gets lucky in a trade? would Lebron think twice if they found away to pry away Rubio from Minnesota? Pretty sure they're still interested...not that they have the parts without draft picks, but who knows what the hell is going to happen. Either way it looks like New York is getting nervous: from the NY times.

sorry if it's been posted already, not really much new.

Well you are kind of acting like it's not.

But because they have had a stinky season and that they aren't really a New York team ( major market etc ) ...my point was , I just thought its easy for them to be overlooked

They weren't just stinky, they had almost a record bad year.

Then the Chicago thing has developed a life of its own in the last week

And?

But I actually think there is a better basketball fit and therefore long term business fit as a Net if you can get past that they were the worse team in basketball last year

So if Lebron is interested in winning, he should overlook that they are the worst team in the NBA?

At the end of the day

it'snight

if you can land the #1 pick

What if they don't? Plus, the Bulls already have a good PG.

and turn Dev Harris into Joe Johnson

If. Plus, the Bulls could turn Kirk into JJ. Then again, who said James wants JJ?

then Brook Lopez is still Brook Lopez.

He is? thanks.

Easy filler with Shaq, Haslem , Redick and Duhon

What salary cap?

around young complentary reserve pieces in Yi, Boone Williams and Lee

I'm not sure what comlentary means, but I take it, it means not very good at basketball?

Clippers/Miami/Twolves/Kings/Bulls all can draw up scenarios more likely than the Nets one.

But yes Lebron could go to the Nets.

However based on *reports*, the Nets camp has taken the mother of all hits the past two weeks.

The one constant of teams looking to get Lebron are the "IFs". For NY it's the IF we add a second Free Agent. The Nets is IF we can add the second free agent and get a top 2 pick. Miami is IF we can resign Wade (which looks like it will happen.)

The Bulls however have far less question marks. We have our All Star PG who is a Big Game player. We have a Stud Center who also lives to play in big games and doesn't shy away from the spotlight. We are sitting pretty if you ask me. Plus we have capspace and are ALREADY a playoff team! The same things can't be said about NJ or NY.

Chicago is a prime destination for Lebron Bosh or Wade. Our future doesn't depend on LBJ like the NY. So I like seeing Knicks fans squirm when hearing Lebron called Rose after losing to Boston. It's awesome hearing Chicago is the best place for Lebron and that our odds on Bodog.com is 2 to 1 to land Lebron. The Bulls future is bright and it's a very exciting to be a Bulls fan. Rose and Noah have brought hope, leadership and a winning attitude that was lacking on this team for a while.

^ i dont think that IF of wade staying in miami is too big of an IF...im like 99 % sure he wants to stay even if we miss out on bosh, lebron, amare...we can sign boozer, jj outright worst case scenario and give 30 mil more and wade is happy here

the IF with lebron and miami is whether or not he wants to come here and be sold on the idea of he, wade and bosh assuming beasley and cook get traded to tor in a sign and trade or seperate deal

at the end of the day, i see lebron picking chicago...big market, nice city, good cast and 2nd rising superstar...i think hell look hard at miami also

if that happens, i dont think you guys will be able to land a max big as clearing deng will be hard IMO...

i then see miami as by far the best destination for bosh and i see tor gladly taking beasley and cook, picks in a sign and trade

this would free up money for miami to sign johnson

noah
gibson
lebron/deng
FA
rose

you could look to move deng for a pf or sg

vs

joel
bosh
jj
wade
chalmers

should be exciting

That Miami team has no interior defense. Bosh needs and wants to be paired with a really good defensive big like Noah.

I really had no argument for Miami lol. Both Mia and Chi are in positions to improve the fastest after July 8th. I just don't understand how some people can say NJ and NY are better situations than Chicago or Miami.

the miami or chicago teams arent perfect

the miami team is top heavy with championship core but lacking in depth and interior d

the chicago teams lacks shooting

however they are so talented that they are by default top 4 in the east along with orl and bos...cleveland is gone and atl would be gone too

next season, when they can use the MLE shoudl help out a lot

I don't think Bosh goes to Miami unless he has some protection from a Big man. Plus, he said he wants to be the #1 player and be built around. in Mia he will always be #2.

I really don't see how Miami gets Bosh. You guys had a better chance with STAT but, I think now he stays in PHO because of how well the Suns have been doing.

Maybe you guys get Boozer?

well see but i disagree

i think bosh wants to win...hes said to like miami a lot

i mean think about it, if you were bosh wouldnt you want to go to a nice city with an elite playmaker/dynamic star and finally win on a big stage....chicago offers that, miami offers that

The proposed Miami team (Chalmers/ Wade/ JJ/ Bosh/ Joel) would lack interior defense, yes, but as I wrote the other day, if Miami can swing Beasley + Cook to Atlanta in a S&T for Joe Johnson, they'll have enough $$ to sign a decent center. Possibly even re-sign JO if he wants a shot at the title.
Chalmers/ Wade/ Joe J/ Bosh/ JO is a pretty cool team. No bench at all, but ring-chasers will come.

I know Bosh wants to win but, he can win without being a sidekick to Wade. I don't think he can win a championship being the #1 (but, he doesn't know that).

In Chicago he will be #1, Rose will be #2 (I don't think LBJ comes to Chicago). In Mia he will always be #2.

Plus, like I said Bosh needs a strong defensive Big. Who on the Mia Roster is going to protect him? Mia has a lot....I mean a lot of cap space but, they shot themselves in the foot because they don't have any assets.

There is nobody on the current Mia roster who is very desirable.
This maybe unfair but, Beasley's value is way down with how he played in the playoffs.

MIa's only real asset is $30 million extra they can give wade. Other than that the roster is devoid of talent.

there are a lot of heat ffans i know who would prefer to sign and trade beasley and cook to tor for bosh, not sign jj and instead if we cant land lbj use the extra 16 mil on multiple role players

im on the fence but if we could land haywood, howard and felton with the balance wed be nice

haywood
bosh
howard
wade
felton

Return to Chicago Bulls
