Philly has nasty contracts and a decent lotto pick (assuming they stay in the 6-9 range).
Is there any possibility that we can work a deal where we give them cap space, take on a nasty contract in order to obtain their lotto pick? Are they a potential trade partner?

Unless that contract is Brand, I don't see them trading it in a salary dump.

would you do Jefferson and 16 for Dalembert, Young, and 6? Or even, dare I say, Jefferson/16 for Daly/Iggy/6?

Sixers fans wouldn't.

That would be a tough pill to swallow, but an interesting idea.
Brand could still produce as the 3rd big. I am not sure if he is a starter anymore (could he be a worse fit for the Princeton offense) his contract is lethal.
Maybe a little extra flavor.
Al+cap space for Brand+Pick+iggy?
We lose all hope on cap space, but bring in a lotto pick and our starting SF in Iggy. Philly gets Al as the return (basic Al-iggy trade) and moves Brand+pick for cap space.
We then have 1 top 5 pick, 1 top 10 pick, #16 and #23 not to mention our starting SF and a scoring Bench vet big man.
Gamble?

Philadelphia is one of the teams I'm keeping an eye on for cap space deals. They will not be competitive next year, are over the lux, and are not drawing well at all.
I've seend a lot of PHI trades on the boards. With so much money and years locked into Brand, I think sending them a big-money PF like Jefferson won't work. There have been some interesting Dalembert deals, but we're really stacked right now for size (Jefferson, Love, Hollins guaranteed, Pekovic and Darko want to be here, and perhaps the #3-4 pick). I wonder if moving Kapono ($6.6 mil expiring might be something they'd consider?
#6 + Kapono for #16 plus $7.5 mil in raw cap space would save them about $16 million dollars.

I don't think we have to take Brand, we should be able to take Daly or AI2 and throw them a bone like the 16 or Flynn or something to save face, and that should get their attention. They gotta be losing tons of money; yes, Iguodala is good, but bottom line is he's the centerpiece of a 27 win team that was mostly healthy; I don't think they're in a position to play hardball if somebody is offering to take an 8 figure off their hands.

By nasty, I'm assuming you mean Brand. I think one possibility is to ship Brand to Toronto and we get Turkoglu and Bosh in a S&T. Brand of course isn't a huge asset (nor is Turkoglu), but I want to see if there is a way we can turn it into something that we need.
