The Official anti-JInx/anti-curse thread

Post#1 » by Dat2U » Tue May 18, 2010 8:01 pm

I don’t believe in curses.

I believe in hard work, in staying with it, and in incremental improvement until you get it right.

Belief in curses is an easy way out and an easy justification for losing

That is loser talk and I don’t let losers in my life. You shouldn’t either.

I think you only made it worse by starting this thread.

We need some positive energy going into to tonight.

I refuse to let a poster's desire to live up to his name and an old woman simply wanting to carry out her husband's legacy get me down or douse my hopes. I won't live in the past. What's done is done.

I'm excited about the future. I'm excited about our owner and his outlook. I'm excited about not only tonight, but what's going to happen this summer as well.

Bah. The "curse" is a humbug.

Good result or bad tonight, it has nothing to do with the supposed curse or it's removal.

I don't believe in curses. Then again, I don't believe Orlando would be in the Eastern Conference Finals right now had they not been able to draft Dwight Howard with the first pick in the draft in 1994...

Agreed, so what's the problem? There's too much "curse" talk on here. Too much negativity. It's in almost every thread. I'm guilty for it too.

I'm just saying, maybe we should take a page out of owner new owner's book and try positivity for a change?

I'm LOVING the new Dat! Here's my deal: I'd obviously love some luck tonight. But I'm not going to be despondent if the ball doesn't bounce our way. I'm confident that with Ted running the show, system are going to be put into place so that we pick the right guy wherever we pick. And I'm confident we're going to give our young players the best chance at success. And I'm confident that over time, we're going to be a damn good club.
