Re: The Official Draft Lottery thread
I knew it was coming! I had Wall in my signature all year. This is the best thing to ever happen to the Wizards. We finally have a chance to have a legit top 5 player in the league!

we gotta at least give Wall/Gil together a try
I just talked with my buddy in PHL. He hates Gil (as a player).
He's really happy since he wanted Turner all along anyway.
But I think Wall/Arenas could work.
I can't even think about that now. I just want to soak it in for a day. The feeling when we knew we were top 3. The feeling when we knew we were top 2. Then the wide eyes of Mrs. Pollin when we were announced as #1. That was a moment. Just... wow.
Congratulations everybody.
It is cool to see fans of other teams giving their kudos. Much appreciated.
You're totally right. Darn analytic education getting in the way of enjoying the merry go round.
We got Wall!
We got Wall!

They need to try and see if Wall/Arenas will work. At least for a year.

You gave us a pile of manure last year for 5 pick (granted our GM was stupid enough to think that was a good deal), I'm thinking you didn't deserve it more. You got your miracle last year (and w/Garnett). We've been waiting 25 years for one of our own in the lottery. We finally got one.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Re: The Official Draft Lottery thread
Pinch me, I can't believe we have the number one.
It's been a long time since I've had this feeling as a Bullets fan, Maybe it was false hope to get Kwame Brown, the Chris Webber trade, Moses trade, Gilbert as a FA. But this feels right. This is why people like me have stayed a fan for over 35 years and not become a front runner to teams like the Lakers or the Lakers.

I think it was because the Warriors dropped.

Congrats to you guys for winning Wall. Will they just dump Arenas, or keep him and Wall in the back court together?

When the Warriors ended up at 6th, that meant that two teams had leapfrogged them since they were slated to pick 4th if nobody jumped ahead of them.. The only two teams left behind GSW in the preliminary order who hadn't been called yet were PHI and us.
