I think it was because the Warriors dropped.

Yeah, if the Wizards hadn't climbed into the top 3, they would have been the name that cam up instead of the Sixers. As soon as something other than Sixers or Wizards came up, they were both in the top 3. That's when I first started yelling and scaring my wife and cats. I ran upstairs and made her watch the top 3, and she made me keep my voice down so I didn't scare the cats, and cracked up as I loudly mouthed a silent YES!!!!

YES!!!!!!

because GS fell 2 spots; no one had fallen at all to that point.
The next spot that would've been PHL, then would have been
us. When it wasn't either, both PHL and WAS were in the top 3.

I tell you what, even though I knew the whole deal intellectually, in the first second where the Warriors showed up picking 6th I was confused. I was like 'but, that can't be, that would mean that' and then I allowed myself to emotionally jump through the breach in the wall.

And I wasn't even slightly nervous after that because I was so stoked on even the third pick, it wasn't going ot be a letdown at all. But when they said A"New Jersey Nets", ever internal organ went all wobbly. And absolute stoop-if-ication overtook when the Sixers came out of the envelope.

We're gettin' Wall, man!

congrats guys and gals! I bet Mr. Pollin is smiling somewhere knowing this will help reestablish your org and move away from the bad press your team got this past season

I think they have to keep him for at least a while. He's their best player
who has actually played in the NBA. Playing them together is an experiment
that could work. Neither is a tiny PG, both are athletic. Match-up nightmare.

In order for us to consider a trade, we have to get something good in return,
unless you hate Gil so much as a player that you'll do anything to get rid of
him. I don't see mgmt going that route before a look-see first.

Cedric Jackson, who led us to that "pointless" win against the Pacers, deserves a max deal.

Way to revel in the joy of the moment, Erik.

Honestly, that 16 game loosening streak was a big part of this working out. We were blindly engineering the exact pattern that would tell of future success without even knowing it.

So I'm guessing Livingston is gone? Just not feeling Arenas on this team. Period. For more reasons than his off the court shenanigansNeeds the ball in his hands. He won't accept being a Randy Foye-type combo guard. He might at first say the right things, but he's better suited off this team. We need guys that will defend.
