No #1, no Devin Harris... guess it's up to Larry to make something happen.

Oh, the irony.

We get battered with eye black to the NBA, tear it down, and rebuild it right and we end up with crappy picks.

Washington builds a team around a franchise guy who pulls a gun on his teammate in the locker room over a gambling debt and they get John Wall.

Well, at least Washington is screwed and now has to play Arenas and Wall next to each other and see that backfire for at least the next 4 years. No way in hell they can move Arenas and his contract. Hell, they can't even try and convince Philly to swap Elton Brand for him as they now are going to get Evan Turner to play with Jrue Holiday long-term.

I told my friend before the draft, see that's where I'd like the Pacers to be at that "10% chance of winning".....oh the irony.

wait, i almost forgot about asking this, why are we not tanking???
i mean, we always end up this way in the draft, far from getting a franchise player and usually in the near end of the lottery. i don't understand why do we need to play and try to win games late in the season when it is already obvious that we're gonna miss the playoffs? I wouldn't mind tanking, really.

No. I'd REALLY look into a trade that would involve Granger for Turner, but nothing less.

No. I have no interest in Yi or Lee. I'd much rather draft a PF at #10 than take Yi and Lee becomes redundant with Rush already here.

A trade offer would really have to blow me away if I'm going to part with Granger right now.

I'd do Granger for Turner, and it's a pretty easy decision for me.

I wouldn't. You already know you have a sure thing in Granger, Turner projects to be Brandon Roy, who's probably in the same class of player that Granger is.

Understandable. I don't expect many to agree with me on that one.

Yeah, I understand why you would do it. I've just always been wary on trading a proven, established talent for that dreaded word... "potential".

I would trade Granger for Turner plus. A one for one trade no way. Turner hasn't played a second in the NBA before. He struggled in high school to get any kind of playing time until his junior year and didn't exactly dominate until his senior year. When he arrived at Ohio State, he couldn't get on the court to save his life. Sophomore year was a bit better but dominated his junior year. What i'm saying is, he's a long learner, who knows how quickly he will adapt to the NBA game? I'm sure he will be ok and probably a star, but, Granger is already a proven star. To trade him for an unknown makes no sense. Sixers would need to sweeten the pot.

I was never for tanking until this season. First, we came out weak and dug ourselves too big a hole to climb out of record-wise, needless to say it was a lost cause to try and salvage any dignity. Also as this team stands before us today, it will look totally different very soon. We weren't building for the future with our show of cohesiveness. But atleast all 10,000 fans went home happy. Could've been 17,000 with John Wall for the next decade, if not for those meaningless wins.

^^^^What's done is done and cannot be undone.
Just to rub a little salt into our wound, before our late season surge we had the 4th worst record. Now Cast you minds back 2 days and the team with the 4th worst record gt which pick?
Hmmmm, that could have been us!

Same thing happened when Chicago won it, it's all irrelevant. There will be a lot of talent at #10, let's just get the selection right and we'll move forward pretty well. We're going to require a big name free agent to contend, so let's just make it a PG.
