For all the negatives you could point out about Bulls' management, you have to agree that they treated Jordan pretty damn well. They only drew the line when it came to giving him ownership (since it's not really Jerry's to give anyway). Otherwise, they paid him a ton of money at the end of his contract, they let him retire and play baseball for a while. They built a new arena with a prominent statue of him out front - before they were probably 100% sure he was going to retire for good. I mean, they treated the guy like a king.
The Bulls organization has show two things in the time I've been alive - 1. When they have a legit star, they are more than willing to throw out gobs of money to surround him with talent and keep the team winning, and 2. They will work to make as much money as possible when they don't have a legit star.
As much as I've never been a huge fan of Lebron, my hope is that he comes here, grows up a lot, and wins a few titles.
