Reggie Miller on Lebrons future home

Post#1 » by HipHopisDead » Wed May 19, 2010 4:38 pm

I heard him on the Dan patrick Show this morning and he said, Miami makes the most sense. He also stated that he thinks Lebron knows this. He basically disected each possible situation in detail and said if Lebron wants to win a title, Miami is where he should go. Everyone is assuming he goes to NY or Chicago but dont ever ever ever bet against Riley. If we get Lebron to pair with Wade, Riley goes down as the greatest GM/Pres/coach ever.

I was having a similar conversation with some guys in the gym, and made great points that made everyone think.....

Lebron must go to a team that.....

Has cap room
New York
Miami
New Jersey
LA Clippers
Oklahoma
Cleveland
Washington

Has a coach who is bigger than him and would listen too
Lakers (Jackson)
Miami (riley)
New York (D'Antoine maybe)
Bobcats (Brown)
Spurs (Pop)
Jazz (sloan)

A Team Identity (with cap room)
Miami
Chicago
Cleveland

Another Superstar (with Cap room) not (ALstar)
Miami
Chicago
Washington (I guess Arenas)
OK

The Media Glamor
Miami
New York
Los Angeles Clippers

Not being biased but Miami has everything King James wants
Kevin Durrant is the best WNBA player in the NBA!

While I don't think he will go there, what bigger challenge than to turn the Clippers around?

Los Angeles Media

Good supporting cast
C - Kaman / Jordan
PF - Griffin / Patterson
SF - James / Outlaw
SG - Gordon / Butler
PG - Davis / Collins

Bron vs Kobe

Opportunity to be a saviour for Clipps

He could probably have all the power in the world, GM decisions, pick his own coach etc.

That lineup can cause havoc in the west coast.

Why would Bron go ANYWHERE that doesn't have a 2nd star? That Clipper lineup looks good but has no better shot at a title then Cleveland would have if Bron stays there. If Lebron is truly about winning its Miami vs Chicago IMO

^ Yeah, but LeBron is definitely THE MAN there, and still has 3 guys that were or could approach all star status. And with much more depth and enough youth that they will only get better.

Not to mention Rose/Noah both fill the two most important positions on the floor.

As much as we'd like to do so, it is impossible to deny that

PG: Rose
SG:
SF: LeBron
PF:
Cc: Noah

is the definition of an amazing young core.

You're welcome LeBron.

Tyler Herro is a TURD.
Bam is NOT elite but is getting better.

Noah is a lesser Camby. Rose is a lesser Wade (which is still pretty amazing). Lebron would have to win 7 titles in Chicago to get out from MJ's shadow (and banners). Just not worth it. Classic smokescreen.

That being said, he probably ends up in NY because his people all want to live in phat CPW apartments and make deals with the courtside folks.

True.. but these are two NBA talents that went against each other.. and Beasley would basically just fly over Noah during the summer league..

I remember watching that game online and being ecstatic about Beasley. I wish he would watch some tape on how he was playing offense before.

No one knows what really makes Lebron tick. but unfortunately for us I think he looks at chicago as a place where he can win and hog all the glory v. Miami where he can win and share the glory. We'll see this summer.
