The realGM frontpage always makes me **** bricks for a tiny second. "LeBron Has Had Say In Cleveland's Trades". Somehow I'm always reading Stay instead of Say at a glance. Add the word Cleveland to that and they've been shat :(

Wow I mean the next 6-7 weeks are going to be crazy and funny at the same time. Check out an article posted on the Knicks board, talk about reaching for something positive, look at the date.

LeBron James' pal claims Knicks are favorites

BY FRANK ISOLA
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER

Friday, November 28th 2008, 9:41 AM

LeBron James' future will be debated and analyzed for the next 20 months. There are already whispers that the Knicks are the early leaders to land the potential free-agent-to-be in 2010.

One person who may have intimate knowledge about LeBron's next move is William Wesley, a close friend and adviser to the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star. Wesley is regarded as a powerful insider among the NBA's top players and executives, with connections to everyone from Michael Jordan to James.

When asked during Wednesday's Knicks-Pistons game at Auburn Hills if he feels the Knicks are the favorite to sign LeBron in two years, Wesley smiled and said: "Barack Obama could use Donnie Walsh to clear salary-cap space for the country."

If you read realcavsfans message board there were also numerous reports that Lebron was spotted Monday evening in a cleveland mall. So who knows, maybe he was in Chicago in the morning and back in Cleveland in the evening, or this is all BS!

Gotta like that we are consistently #2 behind Cleveland. Since I don't think Cleveland will retain him, I especially enjoy this.

I find it telling that Toronto fans are very clear in their disdain for trying to play Deng as a four or a two, due to already having Hedo, but plenty of Bulls fans are anxious to try and shove square pegs into round holes just to keep Luol here, even despite us getting the best player in the game at his position.

I wouldn't want Deng and Hedo either. Its a terrible combination because Deng is of marginal size and strength as a 4, and Hedo can't defend his shadow, is weak sister, and has no business playing any minutes at the 4 spot.

Deng/LeBron is a completely different dynamic because they can both defend at a high level, and LeBron is of massive size and strength.

The Bulls already run Lu at some 4 and have had success. LeBron also runs some 4 successfully for Cleveland. Its not ideal, but it would work just fine. Moreover, Chicago has Taj to round out a 3 man forward rotation. It would work.

Just like, to a lesser extent, Hedo/LeBron wouldn't be all that bad either. If you asked Toronto fans if they could team Hedo and LeBron, instead of Hedo and Deng, I dare say you'd get some very different responses. Because LeBron is what makes it so different.

Very well said. The only thing that's telling about it is the fact that Bulls fans are actually understanding of the fact that we won't be able to move Luol Deng if we do get LBJ. It has nothing to do with some type of infatuation with Deng.

If Toronto won't take Deng for Bosh I'm still hoping that Utah might take Deng for Boozer (S&T). Utah could stay under the luxury tax and might even be able to resign Korver (although that could get difficult). We would have to make that pitch to Utah right away. I would throw in a future draft pick as well.

BULLS
Rose/ Kirk
Kirk/ shooter/ draftee
Lebron/ JJ
Boozer/ Taj
Noah/ Asik? / vet

UTAH:
DWill/ Price
Miles/ Matthews/ Korver?
Deng/ AK47
Millsap/ AK47
Okur/ Koufos/ Fesenko

I wouldn’t say it’s an impossibility, but it is probably unlikely. Which… assuming the Bulls are willing to spend upon signing Lebron.. isn’t the worst thing in the world. The guy’s a pretty solid player and you can never have too many of those.
