I mean, playing with Wade wouldn't be the worst, I just don't think it's the best fit on a LeBron team.

i do agree that lebron and wade would be a bit much. they are too similar and neither really plays well off the ball. its not the best fit and it would be a bore to watch. iso wade, iso lebron over and over.

In a weird way, the Cavs are the perfect surrounding cast for LeBron... just worse at every position than they ought to be. Ideally, LeBron would have two great shooters at guard for kickout 3s. They should be good defenders of course, and ideally one would be a defensive stopper so LeBron can rest a bit and play free safety on D. The PF should be a rangy jump-shooter so as to clear some space in the lane, run the pick and roll with LeBron, and ideally even create his own shot out of the high post. The C should be a straight-up beast in the middle, both offensively and defensively.

Amongst today's players, trying to be a bit reasonable, I'd probably say:
PG: George Hill
SG: Previously I would have said Battier, Bell, or Bowen, but now that they're all old I guess it falls to someone like... Kirk Hinrich? If only Thabo Sefolosha could shoot.
PF: Chris Bosh. Dirk would be just as good. On the cheaper end, you could get somebody like Scola.
C: Andrew Bogut.

lebron's coaches have played him the same way for 7 years now - lebron dominates the ball, is a total ball-stopper (racks up assists because he has the ball in his hands 90% of the time), slow down pace, lots of bigs and no true pg, more of a shooting guard in a pgs body.

i think his next coach should take the ball out of his hands a little more and try to pair him with more of a play-making pg to help get others more involved. lebron is going to get his 25-30ppg regardless. pick up the tempo a little more (when you have the games best fast break forward - play to his strengths). stop playing him in crunch time with two slow bigs who clog the paint. move him to the 4 in crunch time to exploit mismatches and to clear the lane for his drives. and for god sakes, force him to get a freaking post game. lebron should be the best post up forward in the past decade, yet he ignores that part of his game.

1- Chicago
2- Chris Bosh
3- Taj Gibson/Bosh/Noah/Rose/James. Fill out the bench with whatever (Deng would be in Cleveland, hopefully, via a sign and trade) cheap vets, random pickups, and Eddie House you can find.

too bad the bucks aren't in the running.

i think that team would fit him perfectly... a pg that can create for others, break down defense, push the tempo - a center who plays defense rebounds and can score in the post - a scoring sg who can create, hit big shots and play tough defense - and lots of role players and shooters filling out the rest of the roster. and great leadership from the coach and great chemistry - something sorely lacking on the cavs.

While I agree he would be a good fit, it wouldn't work because Bron Bron hates Brandon Jennings

as a fan of bball in general there is certainly a part of me that wants to see lebron and bosh go to NYC to play in dantoni's system, with lebron playing a "magic johnson" role.

NYK should sign LeBron, sign Bosh then sign Kyle Lowry. Have LeBron do the Magic thing on offense and have a hard nose defensive PG guard the opposing PG on defense.

They'd still need a big though. Someone like Tyson Chandler would be ideal IMO.

Well, if NYC signs Bosh and LeBron, they're going to have one huge asset: David Lee. Likely, NYC will have to send Lee to Toronto to get Bosh.

If I were LeBron, I'd go play for the Celtics just to spite Cavs and Knicks fans. Rondo/LeBron/Pierce/Garnett/Perkins sounds crazy.
