Teams dont trade superstars (not all stars such as bosh, dirk, amare, etc.).

Would the bulls trade jordan for lebron or vise versa?

Would the lakers trade magic for lebron?

well bulls **** let jordan go.

and depending on what point of magic career, why wouldn't they trade for lebron?

Are you a unnecessary namecalling or acting like one?

Of course were talking about both players in their prime

Lets trade prime duncan for a 38 year old M.J

Warned for namecalling

Yeah in his prime Jordan was retiring, and Magic catching AIDS, why wouldn't they trade for LeBron? to teams that are much better than LeBron ever seen?

I like OKC, and from their standpoint it's a no.

Durant is going to be better than James when they enter their 30s. Plus Durant seems to be a really loyal player who works hard.

Even from Cleveland's standpoint, it's a no because LBJ is too much to give up right now. The money they make off endorsements will drop by at least 30% after LBJ is gone.
It's kind of like why the Rockets will be incredibly stupid for giving up Yao Ming. It's not because Yao Ming is the greatest of all time, but because of the Chinese market, and when the Chinese market turns against you, you done f---ed.

What kind of proposal is this?

OKC has cap room.

If LeBron wants to go to OKC, he'll sign there and form a dynasty with Durant. MAYBE if LeBron insists on the extra money, Cleveland can get thrown a bone in a sign and trade. A bone, not Durant.

Unlike the Dallas proposals, Cleveland would have no leverage since OKC doesn't need a sign and trade to get him.

I don't think people understand how sign and trades work. It takes 3 to tango in this case. Maybe it's more of a mexican standoff.

This may actually be one of those dream scenarios in which the proposal somehow manages to be bad for all parties involved.

Cleveland: Loses hometown hero, icon, legend, best player in game
OKC: Loses super young face of the franchise with endless talent AND another young star
Lebron: Goes to probably the last city in the entire league he wants to play in.

Durant is worth more to OKC than any other player in the league is worth to OKC, including Lebron, even though Lebron is better.
