Sources: Bosh gives Raptors wish list

Post#1 » by samwana » Fri May 21, 2010 7:55 pm

article

CHICAGO -- Chris Bosh's agent has told the Toronto Raptors that he's narrowed his list of preferred teams to five, two sources told ESPN.com's Chad Ford at the NBA Draft camp here.

The list of five teams -- Toronto plus the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks, sources said -- were given to Toronto management in case the Raptors want to construct a sign-and-trade deal (assuming he doesn't re-sign with Toronto). Bosh likes that option, sources told Ford, because he'd get one more year on his contract and could make more money.

Sources said the Raptors prefer a sign-and-trade if Bosh is intent on leaving as well. They would likely want a big man to replace the 6-10, 230-pound Bosh in the lineup.

One source said Bosh's decision hinges on where LeBron James signs. "If LeBron decides to go to either New York or Chicago, I think that's where you'll see Chris land," the source told Ford. "If LeBron stays in Cleveland, I think the process is more wide open."

TPE, Taj and the our pick next year? We could work out something with the Raps I'm sure!

If it’s dependent on where Lebron lands, they need to want Deng as well.

Yeah thats i was thinking, unless for some miracle, we land lebron by trading Deng to Cleveland. This summer is starting to look like an all or nothing situation.

The Lakers really scare me because i see Gasol or Bynum in a possible sign and trade to LA.

Too much going on right now with Lebron, Bosh, and Turner

And I love it until Duncan-Mcgrady happens

This is shocking. I thought he would be more into the larger NBA markets like Sacramento, Minnesota, Indiana and Charlotte.

In all seriousness though.. I like our assets more than NY's in terms of S and Ts...

What realistic package would work and still give us space for LeBron? Taj, JJ, TPE, then what?

Holy crap. Articles like this make my heart act like Eddy Curry's heart (his literal, skippy one, not his figurative, non-existent one).

Lets be stupid and take the "source's" comment about the LeBron link as absolute gospel, shall we?

(a) If it is true Bosh will push to land where LeBron goes, he will no doubt share this information with LeBron.

(b) If true, this would absolutely, positively guarantee (why am I allowing myself to use that word?) that Lebron would come to Chicago, and not New York, if he is indeed intent on winning.

(c) Because the relative pitches would be: Bosh/Mecca vs. Bosh/Rose/Noah.

My god, let it be true. LET IT BE TRUE!

I am now going to purge my mind of this information to ensure mental health.

The beautiful thing about that Bosh joining Bron in NY or Chi report is that Bosh wants the S&T, regardless... gonna be hard for NYK to pull that off.

Amazing how much of a say David Lee has in our fates.

They had their eye on the immortal (James Johnson) at last year's draft. Just a note..

Nope. If Bosh goes to the Lakers, what possible chip could New York cash in to out-recruit us for LeBron (if LeBron chooses based on likelihood of winning - which he'd be even more likely to do if LA becomes further stacked).

I highly doubt David lee goes to Toronto with all the more attractive options out there. I highly doubt it.

Wow!

The big news is....NO HOUSTON! (At least so far)

This is both good and bad.....

I'd rather Bosh be his own person....because us land Bosh by himself would be great. On the flip side...if we land Bron....Bosh would want to be here....which means that if we work it right...we can have BOTH!

This seems like good news for Bulls and Knicks fans *if true*.

Again, IF true, Bosh seems to think Lebron is considering NY, despite saying he wants to win.

Well good news for Miami fans as well. They could offer Beas in a sign and trade, of course he's a bad fit with Bargs.

This is like the 5th article in the last 3 days saying that Bosh / Lebron is actually feasible for the Bulls.

The insanity of a Rose / Lebron / Bosh / Noah team can't be understated.

No doubt.

Incoming poll, do we trade Noah if it means getting Lebron and Bosh.

Good if LeBron actually leaves Cleveland.

If he doesn't, then maybe Bosh doesn't care as much where he goes, effectively giving BC choice of 5 teams to deal him to. As long as he gets his money, he's happy. At that point, we could fall behind several teams as far as good assets to trade.
