How about the Bears? The Giants have won the super bowl three times since the 85 Bears. Talk about Saddam? The last time the Bears won the Super Bowl the cold war with the Soviet Union was still going on.

So STFU and GTFO, with your bragging about the Bulls. And for the record, yes I have seen many people from your forum posting on Chicagos board....most recently today someone names wilson chandlaa.

Point is those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. You guys can start **** but we'll finish it.

And no one signed anything, yet, but the writing is all over the wall.

Before all this started we were having a perfectly respectable conversation about Delone banging Lebron's mom. IDK, why someone had to come up in here and start talking trash about how bad the Knicks have been for the last decade - like we don't know?

At least we had quality basketball at some point. When was the last time the Knicks even made the playoffs?

That wasnt very hard when concidering how bad the Knicks are.....our #2 overall in 2006 and number 9 overall 2007 (AKA Joakim Noah) would have been your picks. Remember Isiah?

There is something about burned pots and kettles yelling at each other between Knicks and Bulls fans going at it. Neither team has really done anything since the Ewing-Jordan era at all. Those where the days, and that was worth the postering. Now? Well, it is debating who gets LeBron, with ESPN all over the Bulls suddenly being the favorites... for some reason no one mentioned until this offseason.

At least NY fans have other things to do with their time that are meaningful, if basketball isn't that. That is one thing NY has over the Bulls. It ends up with at least two of everything, if not more. If you are Chicago, what do you have? Well, in baseball, you do have two teams, both of which aren't known for actually getting to the World Series and doing anything. You have a run with the Bears, but even they are touch and go. Hey, maybe something in hockey... maybe after ALL these years, Chicago finally gets a Stanley Cup... as if the world would care.

predict Lebron's stats with Knicks next season

Post#474 » by orangeblobman » Sat May 22, 2010 2:17 am

I say 36.8 points, 7.2 boards, 10.4 dimes, shooting 53% and 39% from three

then you got Gallo who will drop:

22.1 points, 6.4 boards, 4.5 dimes, shooting 46% and 42% from three while making 282 three pointers

I don't get the Emeka Okafor hate. Don't you have to use Curry's 11 mil to get an actual player for Lebron/Bosh to come?

TD, Sergio
Lebron, Walker
Gallo, Kleiza
Bosh, 2nd rnd pick
Emeka, Barron

Top 3 team next season.

Not sure promising Lebron you'll get a great player when Curry/Chandler expire next year will make him come.

hey man, @jassous, I hope you see this here because the stat prediction thread was inexplicably locked (it was more an exercise in statistical pseudo-extrapolation than just another repetitive lebron thread, and it included predictions for other players playing alongside lebron)

those predictions were based on lebron as the #1 and gallo as #2 options, but if you want to throw bosh in there, it becomes more difficult. i can't imagine what the numbers would look like but certainly gallo's won't be so strong...which is why i don't want two maxes but just lebron if possible because i feel we need to let gallo blossom into a superstar.

Interesting theory.

But I believe that Gallo could only be strengthened by LeBron and Bosh and playing beside them. I think Gallo is perfect as a third guy who can fill it up if you stop paying him full attention.

Also LeBron is the most unselfish superstar scoring wing in NBA history, I would argue, so he could only benefit Gallo in a big way.

I can see that too, it can go that way, is true.

I would just hate to nip such a promising youngster so early in his career by pigeonholing him as a third option. It's just that I see the kid as a legit 2nd at least and maybe even a 1st option somewhere down the line. But, you know, whatever is best for the team. Just not ready to give up on Gallo becoming a superstar.

I see Lebron and Gallo, Gallo dropping 20 at least...but Lebron, Gallo, Bosh, well, 17 at best.

You want to put players around Lebron but you don't want to saturate the squad. I believe that's what happened in Cleveland this year. They saturated the squad by adding Shaq. Now, I know Shaq isn't what he used to be, but his personality and on-court presence are still too strong to ignore. So it's a case where more is less.

We gotta have a clean-cut, efficient team without overlap. You don't want talent overlap because then you don't get the most out of the players you have so you're essentially wasting talent and cash money.

There is some truth to that -- you want to give a squad a chance to breathe. The Dallas Mavs have always loaded up on talent and it doesn't get them anywhere.

But in Gallo's case, he's young and still not consistent. Plus he has trouble on the road. I don't think he's close to being a 2 and I don't think 1 is even in the discussion right now to be honest.

His inconsistency is a bigger factor than the possibility that he could become a great player and that LeBron/Bosh would hurt his development.
