Div Playoffs - NY at Dallas - 3:30 CST

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Sun Jan 13, 2008 5:42 pm

I'm glad this one is the late game. It gives me a chance to be at least somewhat productive during the day.

If I were completely objective I'd probably go with Dallas and lay the points. I think Owens injury has been blown out of proportion and he'll be able to carve up NY's secondary.

However, NY's runningbacks could control the clock. Jacobs is obviously a load and if he's able to have success NY will have a chance. The Giants' front seven is going to have to cause hell as well.

Matchup to watch: Osi Umenyiora vs Fozel Adams. Adams has been a wall this season. Umenyiora's been a terror, no matter where he lines up. I think, more than any other individual matchup, this one will have the greatest influence on the game.

GO GIANTS!!

This game is hard to call because going into a game you never know which Giants team and which Eli Manning is going to show up.

They been so up and down all year.

If the Giants team and the Eli Manning that has shown up the last couple weeks shows up today the Giants have a great chance to win even if Owens is healthy.

Go Giants just because I want the NFC title game in Green Bay but after watching the Packers yesterday I don't realy care if we play Dallas in Dallas.

If they can establish a run game, get pressure on Romo, and not turn the ball over...they will have a good shot at winning.

I'm expecting Dallas to win but if the G-Men pull it out I'll be going crazy.

Think I gotta go Dallas and lay the points as well. But if the Giants win, oh well. :D

There is usually one upset in this round of the playoffs and we just had it. I look for Dallas to roll.

The prospect of the NFC championship game in Green Bay is huge.....

Maybe wishful thinking but Dallas hasn't been playing great the last six-weeks.....and Romo hasn't proven anything in the playoffs where the game goes to another level....

I think the Giants have a chance.....

Why in the world is Troy Aikman broadcasting this game? So biased.

Good TD to silence the crowd......

I was lucky to go to a game there back in 1996.....it is the loudest sports stadium I've ever been in.....the sound all hangs inside that tin can and reverberates.....

Although Jacksonville, Seattle and Indy were all up 7-0 and lost. Maybe its a bad sign NY scored first.

The key to this game may be hundreds of miles away from Dallas. All his life Eli has belabored to live up to the expectations of being not quite as good as his bigger brother Peyton. With the Colts losing, Eli has a chance to outshine his brother for all the nation to see and to uphold the family name. He may just have the game of his life.

Hopefully both teams beat each other up good.
