I live in Toronto. I have watched enough games for Bosh. To be honesty, I would like to keep Louis Scola than sign Bosh. Bosh got some nice mid-range jumper, but Scola has way better foot step than Bosh. In the 4th quarter, Bosh is like none stop jump shooting guard. And, Scola also got really nice mid range jump shot as well. Especially, if it is down to the scratch, 90% of time, Bosh will be no effect at all.

The only thing that I think Bosh could do it better than Scola is the defense. Bosh can block shots much better than Scola.

But, Bosh doesn't worth max contract at all. His play-off games are just awful.

If Chris Bosh leaves Houston off his wishlist, then we should not be too terribly upset. We still have a wizard for a GM with no financial restraints for the first time since he's been here. We'll be OK.

We draft Solomon Alabi to Back Yao up, and go forward with the team we have. We will be a contending team next year if we add an allstar or not. I think a lot of posters underestimate the depth and talent on this team.

I don't agree that with a healthy Yao, Houston would still be on the bubble as far the playoffs are concerned. We'd be in. Yao's health is a big if and I understand if management wants to hedge their bets. However, I think that our team is already pretty good at every position, and at this point I'm not sure swinging for big name talent would yield a great deal of return. There are no rumors of us being in the Wade/Lebron/Bosh sweepstakes. If we can move up picks, then sure, but the three hottest players in the draft are Favors, Cousins and Wall, all of whom play at positions that we have decent scorers and defenders in.

Our group of Battie/Budinger/Ariza/Martin seems to work out just fine on the wings, and the Lowry/Brooks tandem is also really good. So upgrading the post makes sense, but none of the pieces are glaring weaknesses. Yao and Scola are two pieces in a frontline that most Eastern Conference teams would gladly trade for. Jeffries and Hayes are perfect as a defensive specialist backup. If management has already signaled to the world that they are to sign Scola already, and Bosh doesn't want to come here via a sign and trade, then the only other alternative is to go after a different power forward that can space the floor, which is something Scola can do extremely well already.

Dirk has opted out, and if the Mavericks don't grab him it would be extremely funny to see him in a Rockets uniform. David West is a similar type of player, but I don't see N.O. giving him up. However, I think it is best that instead of having a busy summer, we work the draft and see if we can get a higher pick, stock pile some more assets, then move before the trade deadline next year. I'd love to be able to spend money and acquire better assets, but we're not in the Lebron/Wade/Bosh sweep stakes right now. Every starter we have is good. Some of our second unit can command the MLE. If we are not getting back a sure fire all star at the point/power forward, then I say we hold pat and make no noise until the trade deadline. Sometimes it's just better to wait. If we don't have a stretch where Lowry goes down this year, along with Ariza and Battier out for stretches, we'd do much better than we did last year in w/l columns with the talent level we already have.

Rockets does not have the cap space to sign Dirk and the only way to get Dirk is to sign and trade with Mav. Such chance is lower than Rockets obtaining Bosh. Quite impossible to me but if anyone can do it, Morey is that man.

Personally, (and this is purely subjective), I think the Rox should go after Dirk. Here's why:

1. He wouldn't blend with the existing talent
2. He would dog it in a fit of Kraut Pique
3. He's the chicken-choking champion of western Europe









4. It would really piss off Dallas.
