Bosh alone vs. Boozer + Noah vs. Amare + Noah vs. Lee + Noah

Post#1 » by Senor Chang » Sun May 23, 2010 1:11 pm

Lets say Lebron feels he's his own man and is coming to Chicago regardless of whether Bosh comes or not, so long as we find help up front, whether it be Boozer, Amare, or Lee. Lets also assume Toronto isnt willing to play unless we give up Noah and neither of these three guys are demanding the max. What would you prefer, Bosh alone, or Boozer + Noah, Amare + Noah, or Lee + Noah?

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

I wouldn't trade Noah for Bosh if Lebron comes over.

Too many chiefs, not enough indians. STAT has been a petulant little bitch his whole career about feeling "disrespected" relative to his co-stars. Put him on a team with Derrick Rose, LeBron James and Noah, and he'll be terribly unhappy and **** with the chemistry of the team.

David Lee + Noah.

It would be even better if one of these guys were a better defender, but Booz, STAT and Lee all kinda stink at it a little bit. But Lee will be most likely to play a role, and facilitate the Bulls' speed attack. Rose, Lee, LeBron and Noah would be a freakish open court team.

I will go one further-I would rather have LBJ and Lee than LBJ and Bosh-Noah or no Noah.

Thing is, chemistry and pecking order count. Lee would be a clear 3rd option on offense-with Deng. Rose and LBJ would run the show.

Plus, Lee is cheaper and has more range on his shot. I think his D will improve. Plus, is it possible that they would want Kirk back?

I live in Utah and we want no part of Boozer on the Bulls. He is a bum. Example, last game of this season Jazz played Phoenix at home. Jazz win they get the 2nd seed, they lose they get the fifth. Boozer sits the game out because of a slight strain. Boozer always sits out when he has to play a top player. He is a bum.

During the season he sat out games for what he called a small muscle tear, but when team doctors were asked they confirm a very slight strain.

Trust me guys his average of 20/10 is built up against weak competition. Look at his stats against the top PFs and I bet you'll find it's more like 16/7.

The Jazz have had him for 5 years and the fans can't wait to see the back of him. Even Derron Williams hs called him out.

In my opinion, Dirk plus Lebron - so basically a Kirk or Deng S&T for either Lebron or Dirk with the other guy coming as an outright FA would be the best possible offseason IMO.

But to answer the OP, I'd rather have Noah plus any of these guys over Bosh outright, with or without Lebron.

Trading Noah isn't happening, and it's not a particularly good idea. I'd definitely prefer Noah plus other guy to Bosh. I'd especially prefer Noah and Bosh, obviously.

The Bulls would get completely bamboozled if they trade Noah for Bosh, no way should a S&T get to that point.

I don't want STAT on this team if we have Bron and Rose.. Both Rose and Bron are unselfish but they are talented enough to the point where they will get their regardless and will take over games just out of instinct.. Amar'e is not a team player and is the type of guy who will complain about touches no matter if the team is losing or winning.. I've been getting that vibe from him all season.

As for Boozer and Lee, it will depend on the pay difference. If Boozer is only commanding 13mil per year i'd take him over lee who will likely get about 11mil.. Boozer I know for sure will put up stats wherever he goes, he's been solid his whole career. Not saying Lee hasn't, but I'm just skepticle about his numbers surrounded by great talent and if he will dip off drastically or not.. Plus his defense is horrible, it would put a ton of pressure on Noah on the weakside(probably would cause him to get into tons of foul trouble).. Either way I wouldn't be dissapointed on either player.

Noah + Amare. I don't care about too many chiefs; seems to be working just fine for the Celtics and Lakers. Pick and roll with Rose & Amare; Noah rebounds; Lebron rides roughshod. They might need a veteran coach to help them mesh, but after that it would be title after title.

KG Pierce and Allen all care about winning and winning only.. Amar'e seems so damn immature, probably one of the most immature All-Stars in the league.. Gasol has always been a team player, Artest accepted a pay cut to win with the Lakers, and Bynum has no say on the Lakers he's still a youngin trying to gain respect.

Those are completely different situations. In Boston, they are all unselfish and at the end of their careers, taking advantage of their last chance to win a title. Might Amare develop this mindset 7 years from now, when his knees are failing and his eye is falling out? Maybe.

In LA, there is one chief. Pau plays a secondary role, and there is no third star, but instead a collection of quality players like Odom, Artest and Bynum.

You underestimate just how huge a douche Amare is. Would I sign Amare if we didn't land LeBron or Bosh, to form a Rose/Deng/STAT/Noah core? Sure. But thats a completely different dynamic.

I can't remember what events or statements Amare has made that make people believe things like this. Do you?

He complained all season after D'Antoni left that he didn't have a huge role in PHX and was unhappy with his touches. Recently made himself look like a complete tool saying Odoms 19/19 game was a fluke and he wouldn't get out worked again, then proceeds to get outplayed by Odom in the next game. Threw his former coach Mike D'Antoni under the bus when he left by saying his bad defense was really not his fault, he was never coached in that area. Part of this might be true about D'Antoni, but a player has to want to become a better defender and show the effort. Defense starts with rebounding and a player of his skillset should be leading the league in boards or at the very least near the top. Even with D'Antoni gone after 2 seasons, his defense still hasn't improved.

Simply put Amar'e is a douche period, but a talented one.

I don't know I just googled (news) "Amare complain D'Antoni" and got a whole two results, neither of which was actually about Amare complaining. I'm not saying he didn't complain, but I find it alot easier to believe that that has been overblown than to believe that there was a lot of complaining going on that my google search didn't catch.

Do you remember any specifics or have any links or anything?

Sorry to doubt you, but this is a board that many used to say Ben Gordon was a complainer on, so, you know...

^^ and I disagree about his defense not improving, personally.
