Funk's Timberwolves rebranding

Post#1 » by funkatron101 » Sun May 23, 2010 12:51 pm

Currently 18 out of the 30 teams in the NBA use the color blue, ranging from royal to navy, in their branding. I'm getting pretty dang sick of the color, so I decided to give the Wolves a little revising. Goodbye blue, goodbye green. This new color pallet offers something completely different and unused in the NBA. We also finally get rid of the were-pig once and for all. Hey, if the Jazz keep switching their team colors, why can't we?

Sorry those faithful to the current team colors. I'm sure this is an abomination to you.

Not an abomination, it just looks kind of ugly...no offence. There's a reason teams don't use dull colours like brown and cream.

Kind of looks like the Cleveland's colors.

Edit: now that I'm on a computer that doesn't have a crap monitor...no it doesn't. I don't think the brown really works for an NBA jersey.

We just need to focus on the green for our team colors, not so much the blue.

it looks cool on a computer but I can't really imagine that color looking well on a jersey.

hmm..I'm a big fan of having that goldish color in the combo but yeah it looks a lot like cleveland. I agree with focusing more on the green and having white green and black unis.

Let's use the seattle seahawks neon green lol

Yeah, I'm not totally against changing the blue but shades of brown don't do it for me.

"Now introducing your Minnesota Turdwolves..." I mean, the team is crappy enough right now.

How about just taking blue out and going with green and grey?

Well, It probably looks a bit different on various monitors. I was going for a rust-red type color. I could probably make it a bit more red.

As far a the road jersey. I was going to have it primarily black with the other colors used as accents.

I'm all for that. When are we allowed to have an alternate jersey again?

Maybe add a bit more red or orange to the rust and make the lighter accent a bit more yellowish and it could work.

^lol

I always thought our black alternates were cool back in the day...

If we could have a black with some blue on it, it could look pretty sweet.

I don't think its ugly, just doesn't go w/ a Timberwolf. I think you have to have some combination of dark green/blue, black, and/or silver

Yeah, go with green for the base. Don't do green and white though, it'll look like the celtics. Go green and black or gray.

Phoenix will be using their secondary logo as their primary one next season. This gives me hope.

I'll be doing a few more color combinations, I'm sure there will be one that pleases the masses. After that, I'll probably tackle new uniforms.

I don't understand why somebody can make the t-Wolves logo and get approval, they need to open it up to competition and a vote or something
