Wade, LeBron, Bosh and Amare........

Post#1 » by JMac1 » Sun May 23, 2010 8:03 pm

All I know is, Bosh's team didn't make it to the playoffs. Wade's team went out in the first round and James' team went out in the second. In the meantime, Amare's team is in the WCF.

You can talk all of the trash you want about who is better and worth more, but bottomline is what is you team doing with you?

Amare may have a point about how good his team is with him instead of Shaq. His presence on the floor creates a lot of opportunities for others, defense be damn. Amare is a bum because we are sucking against the Lakers......He ain't playing Gasol one on one in the post all game. A lot of confusion is going on on the defense. See Dragic, Nash and Hill getting confused on defense as well.

I hope we get Amare at a discount and regain the opportunity for a savings like we did in Feb. I'll take getting to the WFC and losing to a stacked Lakers' team all day long, because until Gasol, Kobe, Artest and Bynum go away, ain't much you can do to beat em anyways.

Amare is a good player but not good enough to eat up over 1/3 of a teams capspace...

What does that have to do with the price of coffee?

Everyone is on Amare's case, yet we are still playing. How good would we be Mary, without half of the Lakers, Spurs and Blazers sitting in the paint watching Amare? Guys on our team are getting wide open shots because of one person.... recognize.

Don't over estimate Amare, but damn sure azz hell don't under estimate him as well.

+1

Dirk = MVP + Future Hall of Famer

Amare = Solid #2 option

I think Dirk would be more of a leader than Amare is.

Dirk would be solid but I'd rather have Amare because he can attack the basket. You need that from your big man. Dirk just shoots jumpers all day..granted he's good at it.

Dirk does rebound more and his offense could be a reason that his team loses...aka it's all isolations and 1 on 1 situations as opposed to mixing it up with team basketball finding the open man.

If we feel Dirk is better than he's not a bad replacement for Amare

dont forget guys Dirk's squad lost to the spurs. the mavs has a better supporting cast. we swept the spurs and although amare's numbers were not as glaring as it use to be- he was a part of the winning formula.

Dirk is not leaving Dallas PERIOD!! GET OVER IT.
Amare may not have great numbers like Dirk but outside from =MJs bulls. no team won a championship without a post presence. Amare is a post presence while dirk is not.

Amare's defense and rebounding is a part of the package. I think if he wants max then trade is the best option. I hear NJ wants to make a splash.

Bosh has Nobody. Wade has nobody+sh*t players that work against him. King James Has nobody.

Amare has a 2 time MVP.

Thats why we rebuild now, while the Lakers are dominating the West/League. Comeback strong with a new team when the Lake Show is forced to rebuild so we can be the team running sh*t.

The problem with Dirk is, Suns actually need Dirk and Stoudemire for the system to truelly punish the defense.... Dirk can shoot all day and can take his man off the dribble... Stoudemire being the inside scorer (supposedly) can draw the defense to him allowing the big man in Dirk to shoot those 15 footers ALL day/night.

Dirk's a better rebounder than Stoudemire though....
I do think that Lopez, if he can be that legit Pick and roll finisher with Nash, can work better with Nowitski. Because it seems Lopez has decent pick and roll game for his lack of offensive touches, if he practices more he'd be adequate which will help when Suns lose Stoudemire...

Dirk needs a rebounding bruiser who can score at the 5 in order to get the best out of him. A Dirk/Amare front line would be horrible defensively even though they would be a wrecking crew on offense. But there's just no way I'd take Dirk over Amare unless we could get Dirk for cheap and Amare is well out of our price range.

As well as Lopez has played I don't think he'll ever be a consistent inside scorer you can dump the ball into. With Dirk we're just going to be a jumpshooting team with very little inside scoring and all the inside scoring will come from the rubbish buckets from Lopez. I don't think Dirk/Lopez will get it done. The Mavs have failed these last few seasons because they just don't have a guy inside that could get them easy high % points. Dirk is a great scorer but the only help he has are from guys who shoot even further away from the basket than he does.

ALso Dirk isn't a better rebounder than Stoudemire. Even when averaging 9.9 rebounds in 2001 and 2002, his rebounding % had always been just around 14%. They are comparable at best. STAT's best rebounding season, when he averaged 9.6 in 06-07, his rebounding % was 17%. Dirk's career rebounding % is 13.1% whereas STAT's is 14.7%.

Good point Jmac. That's what I mean by inside presence, someone who can take it inside and either draw fouls or finish or both. Dirk will still give you points at a great clip because he's such a good shooter but he won't draw fouls like Amare does.

Definatly NO to Dirk. No, Nein, Arberesh. Like Kerrsed said, if Amare leaves, start the rebuild process. Im very excited to see how Earl Clark goes next season. I cant wait.

No one is more excited aout Clark than I am. I want Amare back playing like he did last night, plus Clark to develope like Rob and Goran, and we are straight for next year. Back to the WCF or Finals. We just need to work on defense.

Yeah I'd agree, but if Amare leaves we'd have a lot of money for one or two good free agents this offseason.

I love that the Suns have a good young core to build around in Dragic, Lopez, Dudley, Amundson, and Clark. I just hope we can hold on to all of them.
