Moving up for Favors?

The lastest talk is that we're trying to move up in draft to get Favors. We've interviewed the kid and had workouts with him. The kids got all-star potential and with our teriffic coaching and verteran leadership he'd have a very good shot at fufilling that potential.

Thoughts??

Who can we give for him?
Give Blair away, or if he stays it and we bring Favors in, it would mean no for Tiago.
I think Favors would be a great fit, but who knows..

Hell, I'll trade both Blair and Tiago for Favors. We don't need Tiago or Blair if we get Favors. He's a guy that we should develop and play 40 minutes a night right away. Duncan gets 32 minutes. the rest of the frontcourt playing time can go to McDyess and Bonner. There's only about 26 minutes left.

I think number 1 and number 2 picks are clear. It's Wall and Turner. The next 3 slots belong to NJ, Sacramento, and Minnesota. NJ needs a PF so it won't make sense for them to trade for Blair or whoever we got. Sacramento and Minnesota are all loaded enough at PF.

The Kings need a PG and the T-Wolves are trying to curb the market on PG's. Those two teams might have some interest in Tony Parker.

You're right on that, but at the same time it's hard to imagine teams like Sacramento or Minnesota willing to give up the 4th or 5th pick for someone who, and I think you'll have to agree if you put youself in Tony's shoes, won't resign and basically become a one year rental.

Plus, I'm not sure why Minnesota will be trying to get another PG. I never heard that one before either. They got Flynn and Sessions, and the rights to Rubio. Trading their draft pick for another PG don't make sense. Sacramento seems to want Evans be a scoring PG more than a SG, so I don't see why they'll want to pair Parker and Evans up together. They're not a good match. Evans is basically a bigger version of Parker.

It's more likely they trade up to get Cousins from Sacremento if he slides to 5.

Parker and Spurs 1st Rounder for #5 (Cousins), Udrih and Nocioni would work.

Kings save money and gain a point guard.

Spurs add a potential all-star bigman and two quality role players.
CT: Splitter/ Cousins/ McDyess
PF: Duncan/ Blair/ Bonner
SF: Jefferson/ Nocioni/ Gee
SG: Ginobili/ Hairston/ Temple
PG: Hill/ Udrih/ Jerrells

At the trade deadline, Jefferson's expirer could be moved for a big name (if any are available)

I don't think the Spurs touch that deal. It depends on how high the FO is with Cousins but so far there has not been any indication that they are. All these rumors we have is about how enamored they are with Favors. If it's for favors, then I can see the possibility the Spurs do it. Otherwise, don't think so. Personally, I'm not that big on Cousins so I wouldn't do it.

Cousins Im aginst this kid, Favors I like but I think we should stay put at 20 and pick from Stanley Robinson Uconn or Daniel Orton out of kentucky and take Jerome Jordan out of Tulsa or Sherron Collins out of KU with the 49th pick.
