What about Evan Turner?

Post#1 » by Gilfanatic123 » Fri May 21, 2010 6:38 am

I' haven't been able to sleep tonight so I've been looking at highlight videos on youtube of Evan Turner and John Wall. I have to say that I think there is a possibility that John Wall can coexist with Gilbert Arenas. In fact I do not doubt that at all. It's not like he's the me-first kind of point guard that people pass him off to be. I however find myself more impressed with John Wall's high school highlights than his college highlights.

As for Evan Turner his game is really versatile. I am amazed by his explosiveness. John Wall is a great defensive player more than other people give him credit for. He's good at shooting. But I'm just impressed by Evan Turner's drive to the hoops. If we drafted Evan Turner he could fill up the #2 spot that is left with Caron Butler's absence.

I personally am more impressed by Evan Turner. What do you think? Either way, we win... but I think that Evan Turner would be a better choice for the franchise.

4. Get the no.1 draft pick
5. Get John Wall

Evan Turner also looks good although at the NBA Pre Draft Camp they said he's turnover prone. During the lateral quickness drills John Wall pulled his groin, something to think about.

NBA TV is going to replay the draft camp Sunday at 12pm.

Stephen A Smith said it best. Evan Turner is a baller but John Wall is showtime.

Thats all you need to know.

I wouldn't put too much stock into anything Stephen A Smith screams.

I'm considering taking Turner now; but I still would go with Wall because he's best player available.

One thing that does scare me off from Turner is the back issues which he had in college. I would have been happy picking him #2 but you have to take John Wall because he's a complete player especially on the defensive end.

stephen a smith is a schmuck.

the difference between wall and turner is marginal in my eyes. the difference between mcgee and a legit C is a much more pressing concern.

I don't put much stock on Stephen A myself, but what he said is 100% true.

I think any chance of Evan Turner passing Wall was wiped out with the pre-draft measurements.
