We'll have to see how he does an workouts, but from a purely personality standpoint, I want that player on my team.

Definitely agree with you there. I don't see Sherron Collins making any sort of impact in the NBA. Vazquez on the other hand, I could see easily being a 6th or 7th man for a good team. I'd love to see him in the blue & gold next season.

If Bird liked last year's ACC Player of the Year in Hansbrough, I would think he'd like this year's ACC Player of the Year in Vazquez, but we'll see..

Damn, these last few posts have sold me on Vazquez. Nice job fellas.

My two favorite guys at pick 40 are Vasquez and Torrence. Felt that way even before Price went down. I have a feeling Vasquez is a boom or bust guy. If he can do the same things in the NBA he did in college (hit shots and distribute the ball) he could be a starting pg and you would figure out how to deal with his defensive weakness.

Torrence 6'4" w/o shoes should be able to guard two positions. It would be interesting to see what you could do defensively with a big pg. Torrence, Rush and Granger would be really nice length at the 1, 2, and 3 postions.

From draftexpress:
Greivis Vasquez apparently impressive in Minnesota today. Made great passes to Ebanks, made shots off dribble. Vs Courtney Fortson though.

Vasquez is intriguing, but he pulled out of last year's draft because teams didn't think he was athletic enough...not sure that will have changed much in a year's time. Could be that his basketball smarts/skills would outweigh his limited athleticism though.

I still think Torrance sounds more promising. Big, athletic, supposedly a good defender who can also handle the basketball. Sounds ideal to me as a backup pg.
