So if we get Bynum do the Raptors still make a play for someone like Iggy? Do we trade our 13th pick, or do we wait until the trade deadline to trade Sasha, Banks and Evans?

I'm tellin you right now, if we don't deal that trio by the deadline it'll be worth a helluva lot more than it is now. You may get a huge buidling piece with that group.

Regardless if we get Bynum, if Iggy is on the table, you go for him.

Derozan, #13, Evans is fine from my point of view..

Calderon/Jack
Iguodala/Beli
Turkoglu/Weems
Bargnani/Johnson
Bynum/

I would really consider looking for a solution @ PG after that.

A Sasha + Bynum for Bosh deal saves them 2.5 million and that can go to a PG in FA or re-signing their own players. i do though see Jack being thrown into the deal with their 1st + 2nds and Shannon Brown or someone like that added.

lol you wouldn't be surprised if they took jack? I would be furious

I hope BC has the resolve to keep Jack out of it, he's much more valuable to us as our starting PG, or being moved in a separate deal because his production is excellent given his contract, and his value has never been higher. We could easily move him for a mid-first in this draft, and could probably get a prospect like Beasley if we saved Miami some money and took back Cook/Jones. A package of Jack+#13 could probably net us a pretty good asset (or prospect with upside) as well. Simply giving him up along with Bosh would be a bad move imo, and a terrible use of our asset. Sasha+Bynum is fine, if Jack is involved we better be getting an upgrade in talent.

I'm fairly confident in Bosh for Bynum happening. It relies on 3 things, in this order of importance

Bosh wanting to go to LA - Very likely. Great team and coach, likely a ton of respect for Kobe, Gasol, and Phil. More importantly - It's LA. City of stars. Storied franchise. And Bosh can become a media mogul.

LA wanting Bosh over Bynum - I think they'd be stupid not to, with Bynum's continual knee trouble. Bosh doesn't even cost that much more. He'll cost 3 mil more than Bynum the next 2 years, after that if Bynum was a star their salaries would likely be similar, if he's an injury bust then they're even better off taking the expensive Bosh

Colangelo being on board - Least important of the 3. But it's almost a sure thing he is. Likely best deal available, nice fit with Bargnani, and he can sell it PR wise to the fans

There's also the fact that if LA is still holding out, we can offer Jack for Sasha or Walton swamp, who'd be a PERFECT Fisher replacement going forward. In that case there'd be no way in hell LA says no. Jack/Kobe/Artest/Bosh/Gasol 6th: Odom? Whoa

everyone was bashing the Gasol trade, but if this happens, it will be even more lopsided. It will make the Lakers even more better.

You have no idea what lopsided means lol...

both teams will benefit from this trade, we will actually walk out like bandits because we're trading a FA for a top prospect in the NBA on a 2 year deal with team option. Lakers won't get much better with Bosh, they'd be better with a healthy Bynum.

If LA holds out for Jack they can keep holding. They're getting Bosh and nothing more or else the Raps are getting robbed.

Regardless if we get Bynum or not, Iguodala should be a sure thing for the Raps. He will work well with Bosh or Bynum. However we should not stop there. Turk is still here and so are some expirings. I hear Arenas is more than available.

Bynam is realy the best we can hope for. I'd be ok with him as he's allow Bargs to slide to the 4 spot and be the offensive focal point.

He's the most talented option but far from the best one. His immaturity came through on a team with Kobe and Phil Jackson at the helm, imagine what's going to happen when he's moved to a team with no natural leader and a coach with no balls. If we get him, look for him to take a huge step backwards next year, and this is assuming he's healthy.

The money won't work for a direct trade, will it? What do you guys think we get in addition to Bynum?

Throw in Calderon and get Odom or Artest? :D Please? Please?

I don't care how young Bynum is. His injury history really scares me and I don't want to deal with it. I rather have Arenas than Bynum, not that I like Arenas either, but he is a better option.

Houston makes sense for the Raptors not for Chris Bosh.

Yao will most likely be injured, see limited time and eventually forced to retire prematurely and while the rest of the cast a tough, hard-nosed hustle players -- they are not elite players which I'm sure Bosh understands = decent playoff run but no rings or anywhere close.

I believe him when he says he wants to win....he has lived enough mediocrity & big wishes to see it in advance.

While I want to say that BC will ship out Calderon who may not be a bad fit because the Lakers length should mask his poor defence and of course the reuniting of Gasol/Jose.....BC loves being fleeced like it's a fetish of his and then puts a spin on the upside of broken player (ie JO, Marion & now Bynum).....it wouldn't shock me if he traded Jack & a pick. lol

Swap Bynum for Bosh and maybe we actually make the playoffs next year.
