Damn that took a long time to figure out and it is inconsistent. Got it to work twice.
Go to the User Control Panel
Select the Profile Tab
Click Edit Signature
Place your code
Check Do not automatically parse URLs
Hit submit.
Now go back to the same Edit Signature area and edit the code to remove =0x0 from the [img] tag.
Check Do not automatically parse URLs
Hit submit again.
If you get the message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image," it didn't save your change. The goal is to get it to save without that message while having in your signature window.
Post back when you get it to work and I'll delete it from my signature. (only keeping it here as proof I got this to work and encouragement as it took several tries to get it to display).
Go to the User Control Panel
Select the Profile Tab
Click Edit Signature
Place your code
Code: Select all

Check Do not automatically parse URLs
Hit submit.

You need to click submit about ten times before it comes up due to a glitch.

Update.
Put this in your signature area and keep clicking submit until it says okay. It took me 11 clicks on submit, but it accepted it.
I'm going to remove it now. Don't give up.

You don't include the code tag. I did that so you could copy and paste the actual code which goes from img to /img.
