Maybe, but I'm under the impression that most of those here who want to move Gil are at least as concerned about his knee, his D, and the size of his contract as they are with the off court issues. I'm concerned about all four, but I don't consider him a thug; he just has bad judgment, but that bad judgment can and has hurt the team.
As I've said before, my gut says to keep Gil, but moving him for expirings is worth considering from a business and basketball point of view. I would hold out for more than just expirings, but might do it if you added a pick or player (presumably well below Gil's level, but much cheaper and useful to us in rebuilding).
